The inviting lobby ambience masks a stark reality – the reception service falls far short of a 5-star experience, especially for a guest like me who booked through a third-party website at a discounted rate. While the check-in/out staff shines with helpfulness and courtesy, the overall service felt inconsistent.
The rooms comfortably fit 2 people, but have a small wardrobe and limited luggage space. The building seems quite old, and the blinds wouldn't close properly. Room service didn't address this issue during our stay.
Several issues required room service attention. Upon check-in, the room had an unpleasant odor, and small cockroaches were present near the toilet/shower area. We informed room service, but they only arrived after 3 hours (at midnight) to clean the air conditioning in both rooms. The toilet flush also leaked. We reported this issue at 9am upon leaving for the day, but it wasn't fixed until we returned at 4pm, and only after several follow-ups (around 10pm).
The buffet breakfast offered a decent mix of local Malaysian food, and the service at the restaurant was excellent.
Overall, while the price may be tempting, this property doesn't deliver service close to a 3-star hotel. It's surprising it holds a 5-star rating.

Positive points:
a) Great smells when you enter the lobby.
b) Convenient to park
c) The room is clean and have great ambience.
A No-No points:
a) But you might get confused how to go to the lobby from the parking.
b) Security issue - The 2nd door lock for security can't be used at all.
c) The ceiling above the shower seems like leaking. When you turn on the shower, water coming out of the ceiling.
d) The tissue holder looks so shabby which not impressive for the hotel image.

We usually come here for amazing breakfast once a week at the buffet Maya hotel. The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect. I recommend you to gather here with your family or friends or company or colleagues for a good breakfast.

The room in this hotel is spacious. The service is quite good too. One thing i like the most is the bathroom, especially the bath tub. But maybe this is an old hotel, there are some uneasy smell in the room and we have to spray our perfume all over the furniture. But also we encountered something which make us can't sleep that night... 😅. But overall, it is okay.

Outdated furniture given the age of the hotel. Would be better for renovation as price is not that cheap. Hot water in bathroom is not very hot. Yet location is good in KL can enjoy weekend morning in middle of KL.
