Very nice resort. Our rooms were cleaned daily and the refrigerator was filled too! Room service was great as well as the service. The location is 15 to 30 minutes from the airport depending on traffic. Excursions were well attended at locations such as swimming with the dolphins and Xcaret. Nightly music at their entry was very good as well as quiet hours observed at 11 p.m. we found the staff to be very attentive to your drink selections and for a full resort around Easter our wait time was long st the pool side grill. The food however, was excellent.

Service is top notch. Lizbeth made my birthday as well as my nephew's. I couldn't have asked for a better place to bring my family. The restaurants were decent for an all inclusive, the spa was absolutely incredible...the rooms were spacious and nice (I wasn't a fan of the pillows, so if you like soft ones consider bringing your own) the entertainment was great...above all it was the people like Lizbeth and Oscar that made this vacation truly one to remember. I didn't notice the "chair game" that people often refer to. It didn't matter what time of day we went to the pools, we always got a chair with shade. The beach does leave something to be desired but this was my third time to puerto morelos so I knew what I was signing up for. We also got lucky with no weddings during our stay because I did notice some late night noise and can't imagine how it would be with a party going on. My only complaint is I reached out to Elena in concierge prior to our arrival to see about getting my dad an upgraded room and while she talked to reception in front of me, when my dad checked in an hour later I was told there was nothing available although we were offered an upgrade, as were everyone else that checked in at the same time as my dad. A little disappointed in how that wasn't accommodated since he paid for several people to come on this vacation, I wanted to do something special for him and felt like that wasn't a priority. Other than that, it was a nice relaxing stay...despite the other reviews I've seen. Go in with a great mindset and you won't be disappointed.

Service and staff were great but decisions made by hotel management overall dampened the experience. Rooms had a mildew/old smell that required a request for room change but the smell, though lessened, was still present. We paid extra to be given access to the Adults Only pool, but children were frequently allowed in the area with intermittent rule enforcement. This is often due to poor signage (just one sign at one entrance), but One day seating was limited at other pools for a promotional video so the Adults Only pool was access to all for the day. If that’s going to happen, inform guests so they can plan accordingly (activity/spa day). Why pay extra for amenities not provided? Definitely not a luxury resort based on the shelf of liquor and food provided. Food was just okay with the expectation it would not be high quality for an all inclusive, which is why we believe the rooms are overpriced by $200 per night. We look forward to exploring different, hopefully better options for future stays in Mexico.
Edit: the single most redeeming quality/person of this resort is the lady who makes tortillas from scratch and operates the taco bar (multiple delicious salsas and cojita cheese) at the morning buffet. Please bring cash and tip her. She deserves to be the highest paid employee and she should be paid to operate that post for as long as she wishes (meaning we selfishly wished she could be open morning, afternoon, and night, that’s how good it is). Better than any of the restaurants, poolside, or room service options.

Overall our vacation has been good. I would love to give a higher review because the staff have been great, but unfortunately I can't. While the resort itself claims to be "family friendly" and there are certainly family friendly amenities, the decisions made by management have not alligned with this. I can appreciate weddings bring in a lot of money for the resort, however, loud music blaring, screaming and yelling on microphones until 11pm at night is not family friendly. The difficulty getting our child to sleep because of the noise (coming from both sides of our room) ruined evenings that my wife and I were hoping would be our opportunity to have some adult time. Despite the fabulous staff and their wonderful treatment of our family I do not think we would come back, or recommend the resort to our friends with young children because of the noise.

I really wasn't planning on writing a review, but after everything that has happened and the lack of respect and help from the workers has lead me here. The very first night we got here. My mom went to take a shower and the glass in the bathroom shattered all over her and onto the floor. To be clear, she didn't slam it shut or whip it open. She moved it probably 2 inches. Workers came in and tried to make her sign a waiver. They didn't even offer to switch us rooms just to clean it up. We ended up switching rooms in the air-conditioning in our new room didn't work. She also asked to get her laundry done since all of her clothes were covered in blood and again they tried to make her sign a waiver, and it took almost 24 hours they didn't even clean our room or our bathroom.
We had to change rooms again because of the AC. We are currently in a new room and the outlets don't work so we are on currently in our third room on our 6 day vacation.
They had to pull a piece of glass out of her foot. She wasn't allowed to go into the pool and the only thing they offered her was a lounge chair by the pool, which is available to everyone since this is an all inclusive resort.
Apparently all of the workers are aware of the situation and nobody has done anything. Truly, I think this should not be a four star resort because of this and because of the food and other services that are here. So Hyatt if you're seeing this please do better. It's ridiculous. A refund needs to be issued. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting behavior by a company.
