POSITIVE:
The place is nice, beautiful and clean.
The room is nice and clean. We had a hair dryer and steamer (which is way better than iron), and the air conditioner. All worked perfectly.
No roaches, no ants, no bed bugs.
Didn't notice any mold anywhere.
The staff are welcoming and working hard to keep everything clean.
Room service checks every day if you need anything. They always have bottled water, so you can have as much as you need.
The buffet is a good place to eat. The food is varied, tasty, and always plentiful and hot. Caring waiters always try to please.
Entertainment and party every day.
NEGATIVE:
Some pig-mannered vacationers who like to pig out IN the pool, literally sitting in the pool spilling the alcohol beverages and dropping food pieces in the water.
The attitude of one of the representatives of the staff who stands near the reception of the buffet, meets and escorts visitors to the table. She didn't let me take out the food to my room even after I explained that I needed it for my 2 year old child who got very sick and I couldn't bring todler for feeding to buffet. She replied literally: "Well, this is not my problem. You can't carry out food. Call room service. " So rude.
So advise for those who will go with toddlers: bring plastic container and a bag, they won't check your bag, you will feel a little like a thief but at least your toddler will be fed in any situation 😉

Pros:
Service - Staff was always friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, whether it meant giving us fresh towels or making sure we had refills on drinks. Shout out to Jose Luis for making sure we had cabanas by the pool 🙌🏻
Food - The buffet had the most diverse, delicious options and was well-kept; I would even go as far as the buffet being better than their specialty restaurants and their room service menu.
Entertainment - There were lots of different activities to take part in every day. Volleyball on the beach, Bingo by the pool, and even a silent disco. Live performances with dancing and acrobatics were also fun to see. If you see Milton around the pool, he's gonna do everything he can to make sure you have a good time 😂
Cons:
Decor - The room (Luxury Junior Suite Swim Out) was clean but the age of the resort shows in the slightly outdated style. Some of the decor was noticeably rusted or cracked in places.
Mosquitoes - Bring lots of bug spray. We spent several nights just smacking mosquitoes in the room. I understand only so much can be done but mosquito nets around the beds or tiki torches outside would be helpful.
Drinks - A lot of the drinks were watered down, lukewarm, or made with incorrect ingredients. The latter might be due to the language barrier, however.

I was not impressed. The check in process took over 2 hours. The rooms while trying to be modern and updated need much improvement. The bathrooms were wiped down but not cleaned. The food was fine but lacked vegetables. Most of the staff solely focused on their job and therefore there was a lack personalization towards the guests and assistance. It is not a smoke free resort as guest smoked cigarette's throughout the resort.
The kids club is great in theory it is really geared towards kids 7 and younger and do not provide food or snacks.
For a Marriott Autograph resort I was very disappointed in the facilities and disappointed in Marriott’s support.

This resort is well worth it for top tier Marriott members or if you can get diamond club access. The diamond club members have a special check in and private butler to take care of practically everything. Premium all inclusive alcohol for diamond club members. As far as restaurants we enjoyed the skyclub (seafood) tempura shrimp and fish tacos. Chops (Asian restaurant also a win. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely hospitable. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I do not normally write reviews, but using reviews as a major decision factor to where we stay this place deserves a review. Usually when something is too good to be true, it is. This resort is the exception. The Hotel was very clean, very accommodating, and overall blew us away! Every restaurant was phenomenal and even the buffet was next level. They have 5 different pools to choose from, 10 different restaurants all of which were included (Some of which you do need to wait, and do not accept reservations), room service, plenty of bars, and a show every night, casino and Huge rooms with good working AC and a ceiling fan (nice added touch!) we were exceptionally surprised and plan on coming back! I will say the ONLY downside, and not even a downside is that it IS NOT in the hotel district and would need to taxi anywhere off the resort, but with how much was to offer we didn’t even need to leave the resort!
