Finance Assistant

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Assistant will work as part of the Management Accounts team within the Finance function. The team is responsible for various tasks including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow, payroll, reporting and production of management reports. The role aims to provide exposure across all areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable – raising sales ledger invoices
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Overhead analysis
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting in management accounts production

The Person: Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ideally would have experience with a Sage accounting system
  • Previous finance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of double entry accounting

This is a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months with the potential to be extended. The position is full-time; however, part-time may be considered, based in our Chester office. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
