You can expect warm weather in Fujairah throughout the year. The months between November and March are widely considered the best times to visit, when the temperature averages the mid to high twenties. During the summer months, you can expect temperatures to soar to the high thirties.
Fujairah receives slightly more rainfall than the rest of the UAE, partly due to the Hajar mountains. As a result, the landscape is slightly greener than other parts of the country. Fujairah's rainy season is thought to be around February and March. However, don't be put off by the term 'rainy season'. In the Gulf, this can mean two to three days of rain a month at the most.

Held during Ramadan, the Maktoum Championship is a celebration of the ruler of Fujairah, Sheikh Maktoum Al Sharqi’s passion for sport. The event attracts hundreds of participants to compete in events including football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, swimming and much more besides, with thousands of spectators turning out to watch.
