After making your booking, a booking confirmation confirming your cruise will be sent to you. Please note that it can take up to 72 hours to come through, and in peak season in excess of this. Prior to your booking confirmation being sent, we will endeavour to contact you via email and/or telephone to let you know that your cruise has been booked and to discuss any optional extras that you may require adding to the booking. Upon receipt, if you believe that any details on the ATOL certificate or booking confirmation or any other document are incorrect/inaccurate, you must advise us immediately as changes cannot be made later and it may harm your rights if we are not notified of any inaccuracies in any document.
You will be able to access your cruise tickets and instructions on how to board after you have checked in on the cruise line’s website or via the relevant cruise line app. Tickets are usually sent via email or in digital form.
It is mandatory with many cruise lines to check-in prior to departure and it is your responsibility to do so with the cruise line directly prior to travel. Most cruise lines allow you to check-in online and access your e-tickets within 21 days of departure. This must be completed at least 72 hours before departure. Completing web check-in does not guarantee any form of priority during embarkation. You must use the same identity documents which you have given online that you will use on embarkation day. Information required: Full names, date of birth, passport information, UK address, your phone number and email address, emergency contact name and phone number and travel insurance information. They will be checked at the cruise terminal and before boarding the ship.
Benefits of checking in online: You maybe be able to add on or enhance drinks packages, specialty restaurants, spa facilities and shore excursions in advance of boarding your ship (costs and additional services vary per cruise line). For information on how to check in online with your cruise line, please select the relevant link below. As a minimum, you will always require your cruise reference number. This can be located on your travel voucher under the boat symbol and titled Confirmation No. You may also require your date of travel, lead passenger name and the email address you provided at the time of booking.
As a reminder, cruise insurance is compulsory, you may be refused boarding by the cruise line if you do not take out adequate insurance cover.
Many cruise lines have mobile apps, providing access to booking details and allowing you to check-in via your smartphone and download tickets and documents.
On most occasions, passengers are able to provide boarding passes on mobile phones, either from an email or via the cruise line’s app. However, you should check your documents to ensure you are not required to print out any information.
It is a condition of booking that you and all members of your party provide certain information to cruise lines and airlines that may be sent to governmental authorities and border control for the purpose of security and counter terrorism. This is known as Advanced Passenger Information (API). API is usually required by cruise lines before your tickets can be released.
You should add your Advanced Passenger Information directly to your account on the cruise line’s website as soon as you are able to do so.
Most cruise lines provide you with labels for your baggage when you get your tickets. You may also get them with your e-ticket, allowing you to print off as many as you need. Luggage labels are also usually available at the port.
