Enhance your experience and save time at the airport by checking in on qatarairways.com or via the airline’s mobile app. Online check-in is available from 48 hours before your flight and up to 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. The 48 hours to 90-minutes window should include your connecting flights if you have any. If you are flying to/from the USA with Qatar Airways, then your online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to departure and up to 90 minutes before take-off.

To check in via the Qatar Airways website, please select the ‘Manage/Check in’ tab. To access your booking, you need the surname of the lead passenger and the airline check-in reference number, which you will find on your travel vouchers and ticket documents from Destination2. Once you click on ‘Retrieve booking’ you may be asked to update your contact details with the airline first before you can access and manage your booking, including online check-in. Please have the passport details ready of all passengers you are checking in and once you are in the booking, please follow the steps to complete the online check in. This will include completing Advance Passenger Information (API) for each traveller if this is required by the destination you are flying to. Also, during the online check in process, you can select your favourite seats*, update your travel preferences and download, print, or email your boarding passes. If you check in via the Qatar Airways app you can add your trip to enjoy exclusive features, including My Trips, digital boarding pass and personalised notifications.

Alternatively, you can check in at the airport. The Qatar Airways airport check-in desks close 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to departure. If your journey starts with a flight, which is operated by another airline, it is recommended that you reconfirm the check-in requirements with the operating carrier. Passengers travelling on a group fare (9+ passengers on one booking) will need to check-in at the airport. If you have requested for a wheelchair, you will need to check-in at the airport.

You can select* your seats once your flights have been paid in full and they have been issued (ticketed).**

You can select your seats via the airline website or app to ensure you and your family or friends can sit together during the flight. To do this on the official Qatar Airways website, please select the ‘Manage/Check in’ tab. To access your booking, you need the surname of the lead passenger and the airline check-in reference number, which you will find on your travel vouchers and ticket documents from Destination2. Once you click on ‘Retrieve booking’ you may be asked to update your contact details with the airline first (if you haven’t done so already) before you can access and manage your booking to select* your seats. Please note that in certain circumstances, or for operational reasons, the airline may need to change your seat prior to your departure or while you are on board.

*Additional charges may apply for selecting your seats based on the flight fare booked, the booking class and the type of seat you are selecting.

**Your flight tickets will be issued (ticketed) once they have been paid in full and in line with the ticketing deadline set out by Qatar Airways. If you wish your flight tickets to be issued (ticketed) earlier so you can select your seats, please arrange the payment of your outstanding balance through the Destination2 website by selecting ‘Manage bookings’. After the full payment has been made, please email customerservices@destination2.co.uk to request that your flight tickets are issued early, and please state that you understand and accept that once issued, your flight tickets become non-refundable.

Airport wheelchair assistance: Wheelchairs are available for use at all airport locations and can help in transferring you from one point to the other within the airport throughout your journey. You may submit a special service request for wheelchair assistance at least 48 hours prior to departure online via the ‘Manage / Check in’ section on the website. Alternatively, please visit this section of the Qatar Airways website https://www.qatarairways.com/en/help.html and scroll down and click on ‘Medical Assistance’. To log into the Medical Assistance form you need the surname of the lead passenger and the airline check-in reference number, which you will find on your travel vouchers and ticket documents from Destination2. You can also get in touch with the airline by phone* at least 48 hours before your departure time.

Travelling with own wheelchair or mobility aid (i.e. scooter): If you intend to travel with your own wheelchair or use other mobility aid then please contact Qatar Airways by phone* to inform them. You need to do this as soon as possible or at the latest 48 hours before your flight. The airline will carry your wheelchair or mobility aid free of charge depending on size and battery type. The following is pertinent with respect to mobility aids:

• You will be able to use your personal wheelchair or mobility aid wherever possible. However, another wheelchair will be used to take you to your allocated seat on the aircraft.
• Battery-powered wheelchairs and mobility aids (like mobility scooters) will be accepted as checked baggage and kept in the aircraft hold.
• The airline will not accept the transport of a damaged or leaking battery.
• When contacting* Qatar Airways, please provide sufficient details about your wheelchair/mobility aid, such as name, make, model, size, weight and battery type. This will enable the staff to better assist you as well as to take adequate safety measures.

*Not all business class bookings include the complimentary lounge access at Doha Hamad International Airport.

Al Safwa First Lounge: Access to Al Safwa First lounge is exclusive to First Class passengers and Privilege Club Platinum members travelling Business Class with Qatar Airways.

Al Mourjan Business Lounge: Qatar Airways First Class and Business Class (Elite, Comfort and Classic) can access this lounge at no additional cost, while Business Class (Lite) and Economy Class passengers throughout the network can purchase lounge access, at the check-in desks. The amount paid for lounge access is non-refundable.

Middle names are not required for travel, and therefore do not need to be on your booking. You can, however, add middle name(s) to the secure flight information (API) when completing your online check-in before departure. First and last names must match the identification documents being used for travel.

Additionally, if you have a hyphen or apostrophe in your name, in your booking and e-ticket the names will appear joined together as the airline reservation systems can't show the hyphen/apostrophe. The same happens with double-barrelled names or spaces between two names. Airport security and passport control staff are familiar with this and there is no need to worry about it.

If you entered multiple first names, or multiple family names for a passenger, it is entirely normal for the names on the ticket to be joined together, even if you had entered them separately when booking online. For example: If you entered Mr John Adam Smith when booking online, your ticket will show the name as SMITH/JOHNADAMMR. This is standard airline industry practice, and you will not experience any issues.
