UPDATED- We returned to Sandals La Toc for my birthday after honeymooning here nine years ago, and at first, we were disappointed. However, management has gone out of their way to address our concerns—even calling us to check in without us having to reach out first—and they moved us into an updated room, which made a huge difference. Their efforts to improve our stay and ensure we are happy are extremely appreciated.
My husband originally booked the Sunset Bluff Ocean View Club Level—an amazing view, but the room was outdated with worn-down furniture, almost no usable outlets, and a leaking AC. The "stocked" fridge and bar didn’t feel worth the upgrade. However, after voicing our concerns, management quickly stepped in and made things right by relocating us to a much better room.
Service started off slow, and after a 30-hour journey, our luggage didn’t arrive at our room for an hour. The Bluff area is beautiful but somewhat isolated, requiring shuttles to access the main resort.
Most pool and beach chairs are pre-reserved by Butler service by 6 AM, making it nearly impossible to find a shaded seat by the pool. Towels also run out quickly, and at times, poolside service was lacking.
That said, the staff here is still the true gem of what makes Sandals resorts exceptional. They are friendly, hardworking, and genuinely care about guests' experiences. The food is always good, with several restaurants throughout the resort offering a variety of options.
While the resort could still use some updates, the team’s dedication to guest satisfaction does not go unnoticed. Sandals La Toc has a beautiful beach, lovely grounds, and great dining, and with continued improvements, it has the potential to shine once again.

Seeking a relaxed, peaceful vacation, this is the ultimate place. Worth the price if appreciate clear aqua beach with breathtaking views of nature.
Food is good. Effort is made from staff to keep guests happy. Staff that stood out for us, Pauletta from Neptune restaurant who refused tip and insisted it was an honour to serve us. Hyacinthe, hardest working waitress at the Pavilion who deserves recognition.
Butlers, Clayma, Elsa and Kiesha , best team who don’t disappoint. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Last week we spent our honeymoon here at Sandals. We had a wonderful and very relaxing time. The staff was helpful and courteous and we enjoyed the food. Our favorite restaurant was Pitons the food was very flavorful and authentic. Our room was spacious and romantic with an incredible view. The shower head would lose pressure if we showered one after another but it's and older resort. If you are trying to get a good spot at the pool under an umbrella it is best to come down shortly before 6:30am.

Very disappointing 5*Hotel .
Problem with saving beds so early most good ones gone by 6.30 / 7 am
butlers save beds which is fine but not taken up by 12 quite often … need to say customers need to be on bed by 10.30 /11 if not it will be taken off !
Entertainment poor and when they did have a good entertainment it wasn’t near a bar or when they did a main event like the singer and silent disco … they closed the bar at 9pm when it started !! Penny pinching .
One day they took over the whole restaurant with a staff event , again fine but they could of let us know the restaurant will be closed along with the main bar and make sure the bar that is open,is well maned . We had to get staff from the back as the one lady on there had to go to toilet which was not her fault !! But she should have never been on her own .
Also we had not long left the breakfast hall where they had decorated for the staff event and then it all collapsed! Luckily breakfast had finished but 30 minutes earlier and there would have been loads of casualties even possible deaths as it was a metal scaffolding like pole which came down all one side .
The rooms were tired especially the bathrooms . I don’t expect a 5* to have a shower over a tatty bath with a smelly shower curtain .
Most staff were very friendly I would like to shout out to the waitress vernisha she is an absolute credit to your hotel . She was hard working very polite and gave us the service we expected . She was the only member of staff that called us by our names , She is wasted where she is , she should be on the front desk .
The other good thing is the food and restaurants are nice , the service in neptunes is very slow waited ages for a drink .so maybe avoid this of an evening .
If you’re looking for a good quality hotel avoid this hotel .

Mary was a very warm and welcoming housekeeper. She was alway friendly and accommodating. She went the extra mile to make towel animals, and to even incorporate belongings in the room to give us a laugh when returning after a day in paradise. Mary definitely needs to stay at this resort. We hope to see her next year, as we have booked the same room again!
