Return visitor although after ten years. I am having a wonderful time here once again. Yes this is not a Hilton or Marriott, but you are getting a lot for your money here, starting with an incredible mile long clean white sand beach with clear blue water, located directly in front of the resort. The resort feels very safe, spacious and well laid out. The Staff are all wonderful, friendly and polite. Two massive pools. The food and drink are very good and plentiful at this all inclusive. Very comfy bed and pillows. Lots of free wooden covered beach lounge and pool chairs. Wifi works well. Even live R & B singing. What else do you need ? For the money simply unbeatable and I've been over ten times to the Carribean. Better than much pricier resorts. Love it...Will be back again....

The building is old. Room is small, shower is tiny but overall the room is clean. Breakfast and lunch buffet don't too many choices but food is good. I DON'T like the dinner menus from the pizza factory and unfortunately we were there for 4 dinners and 3 were at the pizza factory. We had dinner once at the pizza factory and went outside for 2 dinners.
The buffet dinner was good. The grill had good snacks. The staffs need to do better not as happy and friendly as other Resorts, however, Judith was friendly and helpful but the real MVP is Shavanie, she was super nice.
The pool and beach were clean, plenty of chairs and umbrellas.

we just spent 12 wonderful days at Jolly Beach.
yep there's no denying the rooms are basic and in need of a refit, bathrooms aren't modern (improvements are slowly being made) however the resort is right on a beautiful beach, the pool is spot on and more importantly than that, the people who work there are awesome and really do make the holiday!!
the food was good and the bars were well stocked with almost everything you could wish with genuine Antiguan charm and character.
if your after 5 star luxury, Jolly beach isn't for you, but if you are after a genuine Antiguan experience with hospitality with character, and great value....Jolly Beach is the one for you!!

Jolly beach Resort(JBR) has been around for 45yrs but its on an amazing beach near Jolly Harbour/Marina. The rooms are dated and small but everything worked and all rooms face the water. Bed was comfy. One buffet and one Italian ala carte called the pizza factory was open along with the lunch grill by the big pool. Mangroves restaurant down the beach was only open for cruise folks 2 days but you could get a drink down there. The food was good at the buffett, had a different theme every night. the Italian place was very good, just make sure you book at the desk before 9am or its full. Staff were friendly and professional and service quite good. The bar was simple but they could make almost anything you would want, wine was spanish in tetra packs, only one local beer on tap but it was good. they had canadian club whiskey. place wasnt full so easy to get a chair on beach or by pool. Long bar in the evening was place to be, entertainment every 2nd night there. 5min walk to marina with restaurants and large store with alcohol. Shirley heights party on sundays and thursday nights a cool thing to do. $40USD/per for taxi and admission from the resort.(drinks/food extra). Good time, met lots of nice staff and guests. Mix of UK/Can/USA guests. good beach to walk(1.5km). Usually cheapest place in Antigua to stay. Most beach vendors were respectful. Lastly keep in mind there is no daily housekeeping, if you want sheets or towels they will provide them or for $10USD they will clean your room. There is no entertainment or funny games around the pool just music(bring a volleyball-they didnt have one). Mostly folks in 50's and up, chilled vibe.To end this be prepared to pay the mandatory government tourist fees's before you leave...we had to pay $168USD for our week for 2 guests.(the fee;s are on the travel sites it was not a surprise) The canadian tour operators do not pay this for you.

I give the rooms a five star for a 3 star resort. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a 5 star view of the ocean. Wifi worked in our room which was close to the lobby. This hotel is a 3 star hotel with 5 star daily specialty drinks, food, and my favourite beach. This was a relaxing vacation. Bring that book you have been waiting to read. 10 star sunsets. Visited November 2023.
