Decent resort, not the best beaches on site however stunning beaches can be reached within a short drive. Rooms are dated but spacious. Food was good however the staff weren't always the most friendly

Right on marmora bay, and the beach on the ocean. Resort is beautiful tons of activities for the kids daily, many pools all over, bars and restaurants. Little pricey but your in vacation so you gotta treat ya self! Definitely one of the nicer resorts on the island. Room service keeps the room stocked with what you need and every employee is extremely nice and helpful! Really enjoyed my stay.

I don’t ever write reviews for resorts but felt the need to. Just returned from St. James and what a disappointment for the price we paid. The beach was more like a lake, no Caribbean blue/turquoise water. The other side which was the Atlantic Ocean side was nice but you couldn’t go to the beach. Terrible sargassum! There weren’t even any chairs to lay there, they built a wall several feet above the beach so you could look at it. There is no beach or pool service for drinks. No water, beer, soda in room. You get 2 bottles of water the first day and that’s it! We stayed for 7 days. There was no buffet every night, only 2 days a week. Lunch at 11/11 was good although they had the same menu all week. Entertainment was close to zero. Nothing at the beach or pool (except for some bingo and exercises). We've traveled the Caribbean for many years and this was the worst resort we ever stayed at. If you’re looking for nothing to do, this is the resort for you.

We visited the St James Resort in June 2024 for our honeymoon. Upon checking in at the front desk, my husband and I are were disappointed with the poor customer service. On a hot day, a cold glass of water would have been appreciated. Eye contact, a smile and some pleasant chit chat would have been appreciated. Instead we were "greeted' with stony face attitudes and abrupt answers. We expected better for such a impressive looking resort. Having stayed at other resorts on the island in the past, we were surprised that our Royal Suite didn't even come with soft drinks / water in the fridge, in the room. On a positive note - the staff we met at the bars, breakfast stations and spa were lovely, smiley and welcoming - characteristics they should share with the front desk. And the food...was mediocre at times. The breakfast and dinner buffet offered a multitude of options to cater for all dietary needs that was pretty good but messy (at some points especially during the evening). The lunchtime a la carte menu was disappointing- we ordered the jerk chicken that was OK to eat but looked disappointing on the plate, served with a lack care and attention (plate was chipped). We expected better. The coffee shop was good and the massage at the spa was blissful (shame I was hounded by the front desk to pay my bill despite my willingness to volunteer and pay - not a nice way to end a relaxing experience). Also, note that this time of year tends to come with a deluge of seaweed that washes up on the peninsula shore leaving a foul sulphur like stench to waft through the air across the whole resort (mainly bad at night but it can be smelt during the day at times too!).

I recently experienced an unforgettable vacation at this resort, making it one of the most enjoyable family getaways we've had in a long time. The all-inclusive package, along with the extensive kids club operating from 9 am to 8:30 pm, ensured everyone in the family had a fantastic time. The staff members are exceptionally friendly, and the resort maintains high standards of cleanliness throughout. With a plethora of on-site activities, including two beaches, numerous pools, a spacious tennis court, and a well-equipped gym, there's never a dull moment. For dining, the Breakfast Buffet at Dockside, lunch at the Rainbow Room, and dinner once again at Dockside offer the best culinary experiences. Additionally, the 24-hour cafe is a gem, especially thanks to the talented pastry chef. The kids club was a highlight for my child, with a diverse range of daily activities and a caring staff that ensured their enjoyment and safety. Special commendations go to Delroy, the manager at the Rainbow Room, for his exceptional management, and Mike T, whose smile and skills at the grill were always appreciated. Even our driver, Franklin, was exceptionally kind. I'm already looking forward to returning next year; this resort has truly won us over.
