Betty Bouchier-Hobin is a name you may recognise.
One of Destination2’s vastly experienced travel specialists, Betty’s insights, money-saving advice and holiday hacks have been helping to make the headlines, appearing in numerous articles online and in print.
You may have spotted the name and wondered who is Betty, and why should I listen to her?
Well, let us introduce you to Betty, pictured in the centre above with two of her colleagues, and enlighten you on why there’s no one better to guide you towards the affordable luxury holiday of your dreams.
With more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry, of which almost 16 have been with Destination2 and its sister company Holiday Gems, Betty is more than qualified to share her extensive knowledge.
Having grown with the business, she is now head of sales and a key part of the company’s senior management team.
This means she doesn’t just help travellers escape to faraway shores at the best price possible, she also leads a team of staff, mentoring and coaching them on how to find the best deals around and provide the best service every step of the way.
Betty’s destination knowledge is second to none, having travelled far and wide to places including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Barbados, St Lucia, Ras Al Khaimah, Spain, the Canary Islands, Portugal, South Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Malta and Greece.
She has visited some of the very best hotels around the world, including Atlantis, The Palm and Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection, both in Dubai, Sugar Beach and Coconut Bay Beach, both in St Lucia, and Sugar Bay, in Barbados.
These first-hand experiences mean Betty is the ideal person to dispense travel wisdom and help bring a little holiday luxury to the masses.
“It has to be St Lucia. I had an amazing trip with my family for my 30th birthday.
“It was a twin centre holiday staying at Coconut Bay Beach Resort, which had everything my children could want and more, then moving onto the luxurious Sugar Beach to finish off the trip in style.
“Swimming in the sea in between the Pitons was definitely a highlight.”
“It’s definitely Thailand.
“Being one of our top destinations, it’s a crime I’ve still not been to this amazing place.
“There’s so much to see and experience. I will probably need a few trips to take it all in.”
