If you’ve ever dreamed of taking in Thailand’s awe-inspiring natural beauty, the Phranang Peninsula on the south west coast should be your next exotic escape. The luxurious Rayavadee hotel, Krabi, provides the perfect getaway, where you can enjoy incredible vistas across a sea that glitters like jewels, watch the lush greenery lazily swaying in the breeze, stretch out on the warm and welcoming beach and, of course, take in the drama of Thailand’s famous wind-carved rock formations. As your boat draws into the stunning cove, you’ll truly feel that you have arrived in your own secret corner of heaven.

To cement Rayavadee as one of the very best hotels in Krabi, Thailand’s ancient traditions are kept vividly alive in the appearance of the resort itself. Rayavadee is formed of individual pavilions, each one boasting two storeys of opulent beauty inside. Every detail has been carefully and lovingly realised, from the fine furnishings to the friendly and highly professional attitude of the hotel’s staff.

Whether you prefer to relax and absorb your glorious surroundings in peace, to strike out on an adventure in the jungle or over the water, or to enjoy a luxurious shopping spree, there are so many opportunities to fullfil your desires. Thai cuisine is, of course, famously delectable, and this Krabi hotel’s 5-star experience would not be complete without a meal at one of its four beautiful dining venues, one of which can be found in the hidden fairytale location of a beach grotto, a natural cave in the soaring limestone cliff face.

For those who wish for adventure and romance, a visit to the award-winning Rayavadee hotel will be a dream come true.

How far is the nearest beach?

You merely need to step out of your elegant pavilion to feel the soft, warm sand of Phra Nang Beach under your feet. Enjoy a gentle dip or a big splash in the safety of the cove.

Distance from airport

The transfer time from Krabi International Airport to Nong Nuch pier is 20 minutes and from the pier to the resort by boat takes an additional 20 minutes, or approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport.

Stayed at Rayavadee over the weekend and was unfortunately disappointed by our experience. I was very excited to stay at the Rayavadee after seeing/reading a lot about it. It was expensive but I thought we could make the splurge for the experience. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn't. PROS: 1. We booked the pool pavilion and the size of the pool was amazing! The view of the jungle/forest was also great from the pool 2. The two story room was really unique and fun to stay in 3. Phra Nang beach was a 2 minute walk away and it was spectacular. The views were amazing and water was nice and warm. 4. Main hotel pool was massive and had an amazing view of the cliffs, railay beach and coconut trees. 5. General location of the hotel and everything within was very picturesque and well planned. Anywhere you looked was instagram worthy. 6. Housekeeping was very good. They went out of their way to organize little things around our room CONS: 1. The main downfall was the service. Most of the staff (apart from guest services who were nice and welcoming) seemed over worked and stressed out, leading them to be rude. - Buggy driver the first night did not even smile or say hello, and I felt like we had bothered by asking for a ride. - Wait staff at all the restaurants were busy and rushed. We always had to wait a while to get there attention. For example We had to wait a good ten minutes for some water and then found that the glass was dirty. - Each time we went to a new restaurant, the staff looked like we were bothering them by being there 2. Food was mediocre. We tried all the restaurants and were disappointed by the food. In fact we sometimes didnt bother ordering too much because the food just wasnt worth it. This was annoying because the hotel was quite cut off from the general public, so we had to keep eating from the hotel even though it wasnt that good. I expect more from a hotel of this standing. The food was also quite expensive for what it was worth. 3. The most disappointing was our meal at the thau restaurant. First of all, we went in at 9:45pm. The kitchecn closes at 10.30pm and the restaurant at 11pm, so we didnt think we were too late. Upon walking in the waitress looked so annoyed that we had entered. She showed us to our table abd quickly set it up (they seemed to be doing the closing down shift, which we didnt undertand because there was still time for the kitchen to close). The waitress said that the kitchen would close soon so we had to order everything at once. We ordered our food and specified 'medium spicy' which we like and can handle. The food we got was so incredibly spicy, my insides were on fire. It was so strange because this is the spice level we usually request and have been fine, it left us wondering if it was done on purpose because they seemed annoyed to have us. I understand that thai food is spicy, but we went by te standards of the other hotel restaurants. 4. We found a dead cockroach in the toilet as soon as we entered the room. 5. Private pool villas are not completely private, you can see into neighbouring pools. In summary, the hotel is in a great location and is very beautiful in itself, but the service was its downfall - especially considering the price you pay. I don't think I would visit again. If you really want to go, I recommend just a one night stay to tick the box.

Rayavadee in Krabi was an incredible experience! We enjoyed the spa, an island tour, and a Thai cooking class—all of which were fantastic. And we also loved the privacy of our little bungalow. Every meal was delicious, and breakfast was exceptional each day. The staff were outstanding and made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend for a top-notch getaway!

Absolutely magical resort for anyone looking to experience a unique nature ecosystem that displays the best of Thailand. The staff were very nice and the views were gorgeous. Unforgettable experience for our honeymoon, thank you Rayavadee.

One of the best experiences you will ever have the chance to go through. Having a room in the middle of jungle surronded by monkeys, lizards, giant lizards, and insects while having the luxury of fresh sheets, a clean room and amazing room service. One of the best staff in thailand.

We had an amazing stay at Rayavadee. The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful, the location is absolutely stunning and if you tire of the beautiful grounds and pool then there are three beaches to choose from. The rooms are enormous and across two floors, with lots of amazing little touches like mosquito spray, fresh fruit and robes. Would highly recommend!
