I had read some bad reviews, but I decided to make my own mind up, so we booked it.
Soco House, is in a good location right on Rodney bay, less than 5 minutes walk from the beautiful beach.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, although it's all inclusive, there is no buffet. The 3 meals are served from the A la Carte menu. Although there isn't the vast amount of choice that you would normally expect with an all inclusive buffet, the food is nice and you can order as much as you want.
The pool and pool area is clean, and the pool bar is open from 10am until 10pm, and serves all the usual drinks you would expect. The bar inside the hotel is open until 11pm
Good points...
Cleanliness is good all over the hotel, pool area, rooms, bar, restaurant, reception all spotless. and they are cleaning constantly
Nice pool
Food is good
Friendly staff
Good water pressure, now this may seem like an odd comment, but I am fussy about shower water pressure, an the shower in the room was epic.
Short walk to the beach.
Location is good, 10 minute walk into town, where there are local bars and shops.
Not so good points...
If I was to pick some negative points, there are not many but...
The restaurant is baking hot, no AC and the fans do very little to move the air around, the upstairs has a bit of a breeze blowing through, but that was only open once while we were there.
The bar stools in the pool bar are the most uncomfortable things I have ever had the misfortune to sit on. In fact, most of the time I would just stand. (this is minor but worth noting)
It's not a beachfront hotel. This may not bother some, but if you are looking to fall out of the hotel onto the beach, then this will not work for you.
There are some allocated sun loungers on the beach for the hotel, so you don't need to pay, and they will give you a cool box full of cold drinks to take to the beach, (just ask at reception) including beer. But you will have to carry the cooler to the sand.
All in all it was a great stay. I would stay there again.

I had the absolute best time at The Soco Hotel in St. Lucia! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Special shoutout to Chester, Charles, and Evliyn for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. From the stunning beach right next door to the relaxing atmosphere, everything was perfect. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this beautiful gem for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic getaway in paradise!

We stayed here as the other hotel we’d stayed in perviously in Rodney Bay wasn’t available and we loved it so much we’re hoping to go back again next year. We loved the staff, the food, the room and especially the location. The hotel is adults only and there’s no entertainment but that suited us well as we enjoyed chatting to other guests at the bar.
My only complaints would be as follows.
One of the women on reception was very rude. When she was asked to repeat something to my husband who is partially deaf she said “I’ve already told you”. We weren’t the only people to be disgusted by her attitude during our stay.
The bar stools are the most uncomfortable things I have ever had the misfortune of sitting on. The tables in the bar area were high and also had these awful stools. Lower tables and comfortable seats would have been lovely. Maybe as it’s all inclusive they don’t want people to linger at the bar and therefore drink more of their profits. It certainly worked that way for me as most nights I ended up going back to the room earlier than planned as I was so uncomfortable.
The hotel rep tells people that there is a charge for the cabanas but very few people actually pay for them if they just want to use them to sunbathe on. In my opinion they should get rid of the cabanas and add more sun beds. We went to the beach every day so it didn’t matter to us.
As I’ve said we’re hoping to go back next year so the things I’ve mentioned haven’t put us off.
If you suffer from travel sickness I’d strongly advise you to take tablets for your transfers to and from the airport. It’s around a 90 min journey on very winding roads. As the crow flies it’s not far away but you literally have to go up winding mountain roads and then down the other side. If only they would dig a tunnel 😂

Nice 4 days here before moving onto another location. This is a lot cheaper than other local resorts and as such expectations should be adjusted.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are all from a menu and can take a while to get your food. No buffet options. Really good with people who have allergies. Top marks for that.
I’d highly recommend you take 2 drinks each into Lunch and Dinner as it can take a while for yours to arrive. Just grab them from the bar on your way in.
We managed to get a sunbed each day. Although still on UK time so got up early. If you left it til after 7am you’d be very lucky to get one. The reserved cabanas are not always reserved, the tickets are left on from previous days. If you ask at reception they will tell you which are reserved for the day.
Try to pop up to the Roof Top bar before sunset. Lovely setting.
The site needs a little TLC I personally think. Definitely could do with adding some bins throughout the location.
Reception staff seem to have a lot to do and the 2 occasions we saw them (check in and out), they started serving other people whilst dealing with us.

We visited Coco House on Feb. 10 for one week. We chose it because we like smaller hotels. We knew it was far from the airport. The transfer was fine, but it was a torrential downpour the whole way with gridlock in Castries, but what can you do. Rooms were fine, if a bit small. Rooms were clean, but maybe a bit more attention could have been given to bathroom cleaning. Al a carte meals were all very good, with plenty of selection on a 2 day rotating menu. Breakfast may have been a bit repetitive. We did not find restaurant service overly-slow (as in some reviews). Pool are and pool bar were fine, but experienced the same as others with poolside seating. Rodney Bay is a nice little town and easily walkable. Beach (5 minute walk) was nice and you could take a cooler over there from the hotel, and there were designated seating for guests.
