Such a lovely place! The location is beautiful and unmatched - just be aware you rely on boats or a steep monkey trail to go anywhere. Rooms are gorgeous and we had a fantastic view. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Particularly loved the yoga session with Rak who had such a great energy and was good at aligning my position where I needed. I’d leave lived to do more yoga with him! Only downside I’d say is the pricing in all the restaurants for quite average food (we tried 3 of the 4 restaurants) and obligatory service charge - they even add a tip line to each bill despite the service charge already being added, which feels a bit excessive.

I recently stayed at Grand Centara Resort for a 4-day, 3-night trip, and while there are some positives, my overall experience was a bit disappointing. Positives: The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a private, exclusive beach that’s a huge plus for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, and the resort offers a nice variety of cuisine options, catering to different tastes. Negatives: Unfortunately, the rooms feel quite dated and in need of major updating. Cleanliness didn’t meet the expectations one might have for a 5-star resort. Service was hit or miss; some staff members were great, but others seemed to provide mediocre service. It’s clear the resort is understaffed—buggy drivers, for instance, were often juggling multiple roles, leading to delays in transport between the lobby and the resort. Additionally, it was a bit odd to see that some menu is catered specifically to certain ethnic groups at an international resort. This selective approach felt quite limiting and questionable for an establishment meant to welcome diverse guests. Overall, the resort has potential but could greatly benefit from some renovations, improved service consistency, and a more inclusive approach in its amenities.

I enjoyed my stay at Centara! The surroundings were incredible, thoroughly feels like you’re in the jungle and is right on the beach. The room was a very good size and high floor with ocean view. The amenities are great, the buggy service was a touch and there was a good selection of restaurants. The only negative is that the hotel is only accessible via speed/long tail boat or the monkey trial and some of the facilities are dated and need upgrading. Apart from this, I would recommend!

It is located at a very picturesque location.. view from the room is great. Food was also good. Indian buffet on Wednesday nights was quite good. However, the service by the staff in general was a little less warm as we had encountered in the rest of the places we visited in Thailand, but that is a subjective topic. We had to call plumber services twice during out short stay of 2 days. They were quite prompt though.

A great hotel in an unbeatable location. Being located on a semi-private beach is a plus. The scenery and views from the room are exceptional. All services, in general, have lived up to our expectations. If we want to highlight any, I would like to mention the pool service, especially with the help of Joe, who was very attentive at all times to make the experience very satisfactory. I would also like to highlight the kindness and good service of the room service and cleaning team. The rooms are well maintained, although it is evident that they are facilities that are old. We heard that the hotel has a comprehensive remodeling project.
