Beautiful resort with great gastronomy. The house reef wasn’t as lively as expected, but we did get to see a lot of marine life. We were most impressed with the food, especially the buffet restaurant “Market”. The quality of food was top notch for a buffet, and the service provided was flawless. If I have to mention some negative points, it would be about the mosquitoes. As it was during the rainy season, we got quite few mosquito bites at the restaurant and by the pool (pool is beautiful, by the way). Would recommend taking repellent with you. The bikes they rent out were getting old, and we had to have them replaced several times. Cycling around the resort is actually a very good fun and convenient, and I think it is a very good concept.
Would love to go back soon. Gorgeous place with excellent food.

We had the most enchanting honeymoon stay at this luxurious property!
From the elegantly appointed rooms to the impeccable service, every moment felt like a dream. The culinary experience was a true delight, with delectable food and drinks that tantalized our taste buds. Also, our plan was all inclusive so the unlimited drinks and food was great options to try everything out.
This place also has ample space in their villas and they all three types of villas: beach villa, water villa and ocean villa. All of them are huge in size and good amenities.
We also had a couple spa, that was also one of the amazing experiences we ever had.

Stayed at Dusit Thani for 5 nights for our Honeymoon. We were on the Pure Indulgence All Inclusive Meal Plan. Split our stay across their Beach Villa and Ocean Pool Villa. Each and every aspect of our stay was fabulous & the hospitality made one feel like royalty.
Let me start out with the numerous positives. The resort coordinated our pickup for seaplane transfer from the local hotel we were in at Male seamlessly. We had a personal butler during the course of our stay to help coordinate any of our requests. We requested for early checkin/ late checkout due to the timing of our arrival/departure flights which they allowed too.
The house reef of Dusit Thani is absolutely stunning with its marine life. Snorkelling here was an absolute joy and we managed to snorkel at least once every day. The dive center provides complimentary snorkels and fins to use during the course of the stay.
Coming to dining options, they have 3 restaurants - Market, Benjarong and Seagrill. The hospitality in benjarong and Market especially were top notch. The waiters at both these restaurants were super friendly. At benjarong, the manager regularly checked in during our meals to ensure everything was fine. At Market, the executive chef Prakash and team even went to the extent of making a custom Indian dish that we were craving for during our stay and it was truly a delight to see the extent they went to personalize our experience.
Other notable complimentary add-ons were honeymoon cake and champagne, in-villa floating breakfast, in-villa lunch, 1 hour of kayaking, romantic candlelight dinner setup etc.
Lastly, highlighting one minor nuance that can be an area for improvement. We ordered in-villa lunch that included 1 Starter + 1Main + 1Dessert per person. Since we weren't feeling like having dessert, wanted to replace this with a drink at the same price point as the dessert but they couldn't accommodate this & charged us separately. The main feedback here is to be flexible with the in-villa dining option and have a cap on the $ value of items to order as opposed to having restrictions on type of item one should order.
To summarize, I would hand down recommend Dusit Thani for anyone planning to go on a honeymoon.

We stayed 9 nights with our 2 daughters and it was an amazing holiday. The service from the staff is very attentive and super friendly, the resort is not the newest one but very clean and very well maintained. We liked the fact that the island is one of the bigger one's and that we could use the bike to cycle on the island. The house reef is excellent with tousands of very colorful fishes, sharks, stingrays and turtles.
Last but not least the SPA and the treatments were absolutely amazing. A big thank you to Johann and his crew for the great memories.
