You will begin your exhilarating journey at Queen Alia International Airport, where you will be met and assisted by tour representatives, and transferred to your Amman hotel for check-in.

Savour breakfast at the hotel and then let the excitement begin, exploring the fascinating sites and museums in downtown Amman, including the Archeological Museum, the Folklore Museum, the Citadel and the Amphitheatre. Next stop is the Eastern Desert, where you will visit Al-Harrana Castle and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Amra Castle. You’ll also get to discover Al Azraq Castle, where T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) stayed in the winter of 1917, during the Arab Revolt against the Turks, an experience he wrote about in his book, Seven Pillars of Wisdom.

After breakfast, get ready to experience the ancient Roman city of Jerash, with its ceremonial gates, paved and colonnaded streets, temples, public squares, fountains and grand theatre. Afterwards, you will head off to Ajloun, in northern Jordan, to visit one of the most prominent ecological and historical sites in the Middle East, Ajloun Castle (Qal’at Ar-Rabad). Built under the rule of Muslim military leader Saladin in 1184 AD to control the city’s iron mines, the fortress also played an important role in protecting communication routes between Jordan and Syria from the Crusaders.

Enjoy breakfast then prepare to leave the captivating city of Amman. You will travel along the King’s Highway towards Wadi Musa City, also known as the ‘Valley of Moses’, stopping at several pillars of heritage on the way. The first stop will be the charming city of Madaba, where you can marvel at the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem and Holy Land, as well as other extraordinary Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics found in St George’s Church. Just 10km west of Madaba is the next stop, Mount Nebo, the spellbinding mountain that is considered to be where Moses saw the Promised Land before he died. This famous spot boasts spectacular views, overlooking the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, West Bank and Jerusalem. The last stop on today’s exciting journey will be Kerak Castle, an impressive Crusader stronghold dating back to the 12th century. You’ll then continue on to Petra, where you can rest up after another thrilling day of exploration.

Start your day with breakfast before ticking off a huge bucket list favourite, a visit to the ancient Nabatean city of Petra. This is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. You will enter the city via a kilometre-long narrow gorge which is fringed by impressive cliffs that are 80 metres tall. Enjoy the day exploring this vast site, discovering the dazzling colours and fascinating rock formations. Don’t miss the treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars, colonnaded streets and hundreds of rock-cut tombs. You’ll then continue your expedition by travelling further south to Wadi Rum.
Dinner and overnight stay in Wadi Rum
Embark on a two-hour jeep ride into the Jordanian desert, the ideal way to explore Wadi Rum. Known by the locals as the ‘Valley of the Moon’, Wadi Rum was described by T. E. Lawrence as “vast, echoing and god-like”. Next, you will proceed to one of the most sensational natural landscapes in the world, the Dead Sea. Located deep in the Jordan Valley, this is the lowest point on Earth, the world’s richest source of natural salts and home to timeless hidden treasures from thousands of years ago. Spend the night close to this geological goldmine.
