If you’re looking for relaxing activities on holiday, you can’t get more relaxed than sitting back on a sun lounger on the beach with a beautiful view of the sunset. Staying in Abu Dhabi, you are going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a beach. Since we couldn’t possibly talk about all of the amazing beaches, here are some examples of the best in Abu Dhabi.
A lot of beaches in Abu Dhabi are part of a hotel complex, which means that they are free to guests of that hotel and there’s a small fee for everyone else. One example of these beaches is the one offered by Al Raha Beach. This hotel is on the beach side of the main highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, making it easy to experience both cities in one trip. If you’re looking for relaxation, then the amazing beach at the Al Raha Beach is a good place to start.
If you’re looking for a more adventurous experience, as well as a relaxing one, then the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan is a good mix. One of the busiest beaches in Abu Dhabi, there are a large variety of activities on offer. For the relaxing types, there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas with a wide array of food choices. If you want to get your blood pumping, however, there is a water sports centre where you can go out to sea on jet skis, or play beach volleyball.
Third on our list of some of the amazing beaches of Abu Dhabi is the beach from the Emirates Palace. Unfortunately, this beach is only available to guest of the hotel, but if you are mostly interested in having a beach holiday then it is well worth considering the Emirates Palace purely for this beach. This exclusive stretch of land is 1.3km long and also includes an adventure pool with slides and waterfalls. The beach is open all year round and serves up some tasty food to accompany the relaxing atmosphere.
Beach Rotana is a favourite amongst residents and it’s easy to see why. At 120 metres long, this quaint private beach comes with squash and tennis courts for the active guests as well as plenty of options for food. This is a great option for families as there is a children’s pool and an outdoor play area. All this and you still get great views while watching the sun set.
The final choice on our list of the amazing beaches in Abu Dhabi is the Saadiyat Public Beach. This is actually the first public beach on the island, with 400 metres being surrounded by the sea and a great view of sand dunes. This beach is lacking in options for food, but there is the option to take part in a range of sports or to simply relax with the gorgeous views. There is an abundance of marine life at the beach, which is sure to be a treat for anyone wanting to go snorkelling.
