Sunbathing in Dubai

Summer 2024 Holidays

Summer in Dubai is very hot, but it’s a good time for anyone wanting to completely relax, unwind and escape the pressures of everyday life. Chill out on a shaded lounger or cabana with a cocktail and good book on the beach or beside your hotel pool. Cool down with a swim in the glistening gulf or enjoy snorkelling, diving and plenty of water sports fun. This city has been built to deal with the summer temperatures so ultra-efficient air-conditioning systems come as standard in the shopping malls, top-class restaurants and indoor sports, leisure and entertainment venues. Summer can be too hot for visiting outdoor landmarks during the day, but the evening offers opportunities to see sights such as the Dubai Fountain, Dubai Marina and the illuminated skyline which includes the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

Then there’s water-themed action galore, with, jet skiing, scuba diving, fishing trips, dhow boat cruises and the chance to swim with dolphins in the lagoon at Dolphin Bay. Winter 2024 Holidays

A winter sun holiday in 2024 can provide a fabulous break from the cold weather and dark nights back in the UK. There’s no shortage of festive fun in the city, with giant Christmas tree lights, illuminated winter wonderland scenes, ice-skating rinks and outdoor cinema screenings among the attractions. Dubai’s Global Village highlights festive traditions from around the world, a host of Christmas markets add sparkle to the city and spectacular firework displays light up the sky on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. The city also hosts many key winter events from November to January, including Dubai Shopping Festival and Souk Madinat Jumeirah Winter Festival. All of this is a bonus if you choose to visit at this time of year, as you will still be able to marvel at all the city’s other incredible attractions.

Holidays in Dubai during Ramadan

If you love history, culture and tradition, you’ll love visiting Dubai during Ramadan. Choosing a holiday at this time of year offers a wonderful opportunity to experience everything that goes on in the emirate during the most sacred holy month in the Muslim calendar. Ramadan in 2024 is expected to begin on March 10 and end on April 8, and the evenings in Dubai will be brimming with traditional feasts, community festivities and myriad of family activities. Many of the resorts and hotels offer lavish culinary events, with guests getting the chance to enjoy traditional iftar meals after sunset for an additional charge. The majority of Dubai’s shopping malls stay open later in the evening, with most offering special promotions and deals throughout the month of Ramadan. Elsewhere in Dubai, almost everything remains open, including tourist attractions such as theme parks, museums and galleries, as well as most lounges.

BestTimeToVisit

Best Time To Visit

Dubai is an enthralling destination all year round, so the time you decide to visit is down to personal choice and what you want from your holiday. An average of 8 to 10 hours of daily sunshine and just 95mm annual rainfall makes this emirate a dream choice for a holiday. Those who enjoy the great outdoors will love Dubai in the winter when the weather is perfect for getting out and about, visiting famous landmarks, exploring desert landscapes and experiencing life beneath the waves. The summer months are ideal for romantic couples who can enjoy the luxury leisure amenities in their hotel and sip cocktails in the shade by the pool. The Easter holiday period is a popular choice for families with school age children, when the mercury is not too high and there’s plenty of fun awaiting in the amazing water parks and theme parks.
