We had an amazing day out at Mermaid Hotel & Club. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel itself was superb, offering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. We had a wonderful 3 Nights stay at mermaid hotel & Club. We love to stay here more days because of their services, specially foods and the other facilities. Specially we would like to mention Miss Thanuja at the front office and the staff, Head chef and his team, Stewards, life guards around the pool area, for their kind and fabulous services. Both we had excellent Ayurvedic spa treatments at the hotel. Room services were also exceptional because they arranged our room clean and beautiful with some decorations. We really grateful for giving us such a wonderful experience. We hope to come again and highly recommend for everyone. Thank you.♥️♥️♥️

The hotel mermaid We have a great time during our full-day reservation with full board. The experience is excellent from the moment we check in, when they kindly refresh us. We often update it. In every way, the staff is quite helpful. The pool is clean and the buffet is well-tasted and presented in a tasteful manner. Pool employees bring considerate individuals. We take great pleasure in it. It's a great spot to spend the day with a play area, water polo, spa, and gym. We reserved a room with a sea view, which was fine. Our first stay at this hotel was excellent; the room was really nice, and it's a reasonably priced hotel that comes highly recommended

Such a great hotel! This hotel will be your place to celebrate any special milestones of yours. I managed to give my husband a surprise for his birthday and the staff of the hotel was so cooperative and supportive. They arranged our bed with beautiful decorations which I did not expect. Thank you.

I recently went there for a day out with my friends. We had a fantastic day out at the hotel! The international buffet was delightful with a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied with the quality and selection. Since our group had more than 14 people, we received a room for free. The pool was well-maintained and added to our enjoyable experience. The room and bathroom were clean, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and can recommend this hotel for stays.

Had a chance to spend a day in this resort, and it was amazing. It has a lovely atmosphere and one of the best pools I've ever been to. The beach view is breathtaking, but most of the beach is lost due to sea erosion over time, but there is a usable public beach next to the hotel which is easily accessible. The buffet at the resort had an array of dishes that were both delicious and healthy. The staff is very attentive and friendly towards guests as well. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and have a balcony where you can enjoy the pool view.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The hotel boasts a lovely atmosphere, with clean rooms and excellent beach access. The pool area is great, and the meals offered are not only tasty but also feature a wide variety. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. A special thanks to Manager Ravi, who went above and beyond to accommodate us during the busy long weekend rush. He ensured we had rooms close to each other and even arranged a room with disabled access, which made our stay much more comfortable. Overall, the friendly and attentive staff, combined with the hotel's great amenities, made for a memorable stay. Highly recommend!

We have just returned from our family holiday at the royal palms beach hotel! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Large rooms and amazing pool. The beach has sadly been washed away due to the weather but that is not their fault. The staff in this hotel are amazing. They are so polite, welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Due to onion allergies they ensured that food was cooked fresh for us so that we were able to enjoy the cuisine as well. Unfortunately due to the hotel not running at maximum capacity the entertainment during the day and evening was slightly less. We didn’t mind this however as it meant that we got to enjoy a peaceful day at the pool. If you are a light sleeper, there is a train track that runs by some rooms during all times of the day and night. This didn’t bother us but is something to note and request a room further from the track. The hotel is so accommodating they would help! We would definitely return to this hotel again and want to thank the staff for an amazing time at the hotel!

Avani has been an outstanding place to stay while we were visiting Sri Lanka. The exceptional staff in all areas of the hotel made our stay welcoming and enjoyable. From the reception staff, restaurant, bar, lifeguard and the security. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We extended our stay because we loved it so much. We travelled with our 8 month old and our fantastic housekeeping staff member Nimal made sure our room was clean and hazard free during our stay. The kitchen staff prepared our baby some mashed vegetables and offered other items. The dining staff were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast included was delicious. Avani has the best location, the grounds are kept immaculate, there is a lovely walk along the beach and lagoon. It is away from the hustle and bustle. Our room was the deluxe lagoon room which was very spacious and allowed plenty of room for our baby to crawl around freely and safely. The whole vibe is very relaxed and we felt very safe at all times. We will definitely stay again.

Beyond Expectations. We came for our anniversary and the team made sure that it was truly memorable. From the Room decoration, surprise cake it was great. About the staff, I never expected this much of hospitality for a local guest. Rooms are decent and food is also great specially the breakfast. This is our second time and we hope to come back!

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful location, Room service is very good. Restaurant service and food etc were excellent. Special mention goes to Moshitha in the IT department. When the TV was not working, He fixed it for us very quickly. Also, everyone in the staff provided good service. Room is spacious but better to add good amenities to make good appearance. Better to add more food selection for buffet. There was an issue with water kettle and response was very poor from house keeping and reception, and finally I had to contact duty manager to correct it. We had bad experience when entering to hotel for parking.

Ensure there is a balance between local, international, and seasonal dishes. 2. Quality of Food: Freshness and flavor are critical. The buffet should maintain consistent quality across different dishes, with attention to presentation, seasoning, and temperature. 3. Service: Attentive and friendly staff play a big role. They should be quick to clear used plates, replenish food, and be available for requests. Proper labeling of dishes (allergen info, dietary labels) is also important.

We recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a relaxing and enjoyable experience, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. The hotel was fully booked and overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy any of the services. We were excited for the buffet dinner, but it was the worst buffet I have ever had at a 4-star hotel. There was only one meat option (chicken) with no variety at all. The breakfast and lunch the next day were no better, with the fewest choices I’ve ever seen. On top of that, there were no towels in the room when we arrived. Despite several calls to the front desk, we had to wait a long time to get them. We also asked for an extra water bottle, but were told to refill the one we had – something I've never heard from a hotel before. The worst part was when a room service supervisor entered our room without knocking, even though we hadn’t checked out yet. It was 12:20 p.m., and my wife was still getting ready. We hadn't handed over our key cards or officially checked out, so this was completely unacceptable. Overall, this experience was far below what we expected from a 4-star hotel. We won’t be coming back and I would not recommend this hotel any one.

I strongly recommend implementing staff training focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and effectively addressing guest needs. For example, when a request for an eight-person seating at the buffet is made, it would be more accommodating to arrange this rather than directing guests to split into two tables. Additionally, I found that the cleanliness of both the rooms and the hotel overall did not meet acceptable standards. When hosting larger groups, having multiple action stations would be beneficial in minimizing wait times for guests. I also encountered issues with room service, requiring multiple calls to obtain a bottle of water. Initially, cash (rs.500) was requested for the charge, but it was eventually agreed to bill it to the room. Also 3 people from the triple room used the pool and when asked for pool towels, initially only given 2 towels and when asked for the 3rd, we were told to "share the two towels". On a positive note, I appreciated the quality and preparation of the food, which was enjoyable. Overall, my experience did not meet my expectations, and it has led me to reconsider future stays at your hotel. Higher management should properly train the staff who deal with the clients in order to minimize these kind of communication gaps.

Our family of three enjoyed the three day, two night visit thoroughly. If you like walking, you can enjoy peaceful beach walks or use the shady, tree lined paths. You can even walk around the large pool. The meals were excellent with many fruit choices for dessert and breakfast. My family particularly liked the salad and dessert bars. Servers were also friendly and helpful. There was a good choice for vegetarians and others. We also enjoyed the free happy hour drinks and music in the lobby. We made use of the pool and the well equipped gym and darts. The staff at both were friendly and helpful. Front office staff greeted us with a smile and processed both check in and check out efficiently. Thanks Turyaa! We look forward to returning some day.

What can I say, it was amazing! I recently stayed at Anantara Kalutara, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the warm welcome to the spacious and beautiful rooms, everything was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to celebrate my brother’s birthday, arranging a complimentary cake for our dinner. Kudos to those girls( I can’t remember their names 🥺) One waiter volunteered to prepare the night meal for our 7-month-old baby! The kids club staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making it a great experience for our little one and all the little kids there. Also Maheesha from front office helped us exceptionally from the start to end. He facilitated us to prepare the reimbursement invoices as per our request. He is very professional 👏 Plus, the food was delicious. And we loved the interior of the rooms and the hotel. It was really calming. We play room was also nice. A very good quality five 🌟 hotel in a beautiful environment. I spent two days here. A hotel located in a very calm environment, providing very good food and hospitality. A hotel where you can have a very good vacation experience with dinner, lunch, breakfast buffet, you can do many outdoor activities, a spa and a gym. There is a buffet with many varieties of food and drinks and the room is very comfortable and equipped with all facilities. All the people who work in the hotel are dedicated to their guests and their needs and provide the necessary service. Anantara Kalutara Resort can definitely be recommended as a hotel where you can get a very high level of luxury experience for the money you pay.
