Such a nice place to stay w your family plus the room is very comfortable and clean. It is very kid friendly. Have variety choices of food which is worth every penny to stay here. Hopefully the good service provided by the staff will be maintain. They also provide a wish card and a slice of cake for our anniversary upon request. Surely will come again

Overall a great family holiday here. The rooms are a little dated but well sized and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is huge and has almost any cuisine you could imagine. The bar and grill on the beach is a beautiful place to get dinner. They have some more affordable options like pizza, or go all out on the grill. The pools were busy but we stayed in a peak period. The beach next to the hotel wasn’t a great place to relax, it was full of people trying to sell JetSki rides. Location is great, easy to get to all the attractions in Penang, although there aren’t many nice restaurants within a walk compared with downtown Georgetown.

We really enjoyed ourselves and the view was fantastic from the sixth floor overlooking the pool and facing the sea. The room was comfortable with three beds and we really had a great 2 nights here. The breakfast was great too.

We stayed here for three nights over NYE with family, drawn by its prime beachfront location. While the setting is undeniably beautiful, the overall experience fell short of expectations, especially when compared to other Shangri-La properties. One of the highlights for families is the on-site water park and adventure park, which kept the kids entertained. This, along with the water sports and massage services available right on the beach outside the property, is what makes the stay somewhat worthwhile. However, beyond these activities, the resort doesn’t offer the level of luxury or service typically associated with Shangri-La. Our experience with service was disappointing from the start. Check-in and check-out were frustratingly slow and inefficient, and the in-room dining service was equally underwhelming. The staff’s attitude felt more in line with a budget hotel rather than a high-end resort—they weren’t particularly welcoming or attentive, which was a letdown considering the premium pricing. While the location and amenities for kids are a plus, the lack of hospitality and service makes it hard to justify the cost. It’s okay for a one-time visit, but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again at this price point.

The Breakfast spread is very good with wide choice of foods available to suit any nationality. Service at the hotel is good from the start. Bell boys take your cases and direct you to check in. Check in process very smooth. Choice of pools for children and adults alike. Very close to the beach. Great for families.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent place especially for family with young children. My kids enjoyed the water slides, pool and the sand. There is a grocery shop opposite the road, selling float, spade/bucket, snacks and even swimming suit. Be careful when walking in the beach, and avoid playing in the sea as might sting by jelly fish. Overall, the stay in hard rock is fantastic and thank you to the hard rock team for providing the 5-star service including vinegar spray to treat the jelly fish sting.

The resort and rooms are aesthetically pleasing, offering a stunning view with spacious balconies for relaxation. The accessibility to the public beach until 11 PM, nice for evening strolls. The pool is a highlight, amazing pool for adults, though it is not suited for toddlers due to the water depth. The breakfast spread is decent, catering to various preferences. They provide complimentary water in glass bottle. After consuming it, both my toddler and I fell ill, leading to doubts about whether the water is adequately treated. The kids' room is compact, providing limited space, while the games room is satisfactory for casual entertainment. Overall, while the resort is ok.

We organized a team-building event here, and the place truly rocks—literally, haha! The service was exceptional, definitely 5-star (or even more). The hall they provided was spacious and had musical instruments, which made the breaks even more enjoyable, especially with free-flow coffee available. The tea break food was delicious, and the beach and pool were absolutely beautiful. The entire experience was fantastic, and considering the price we paid, it was definitely worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Always book the room for the sea view. Get your swim gear to relax full day with pool bar. The only complaint I have is they have very limited veggie food options only two I guess. Which is really sad as they call them 5 star hotel. I would request the hotel to please add more vegetarian options. At the end I would go to this place again n again. Also special thanks to all the staff they were so nice ♥️❤️. Thank you ☺️.

Impressed that after more than a decade the swimming pool area is still well maintained. Breakfast is adequate, fruits are my favourite. There is a game room for the kid adult. The beach is more suitable for morning/evening strolls. Parking space in the hotel runs out fast but there is another one nearby with pick-up provided.

Stayed here in August 2024 2 nights, paid RM1800++ for 2 different rooms, ambient was so cozy. Double Queen Room at the end of the property was quite ‘moody’ because of the sea breeze, request to change room but was not entertained by the staff. Had to pay additional for breakfast where on the booking website stated 4 free breakfast. On ground staff was so nice! Breakfast was okay, loved the pool & private property.

Well, I will definitely go again ! From the front desk to security , waiter, and waitress, service good! Smile, sweety! Friendly! Full of satisfaction The room is comfortable, and the bed is so comfy to sleep. Hygiene was good, the place was not noisy, it's a good hotel! The food is good, and the morning breakfast is perfect. What should be have , they have, also provide espresso brew coffee, juice and coffee, anyways , high recommended and will come back again

I checked into this lovely hotel for a two-night stay and was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade upon arrival! The room was incredibly cozy and spotlessly clean, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. What truly stood out during my stay was the friendliness of the staff. They were always ready with a smile and willing to help with any inquiries I had. It’s clear that they genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. The location is another highlight; it’s just a short walk to the Ferringhi Market, which is packed with local vendors and delicious food options. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!

Lovely stay. Nice staff and got titanium upgrade to suite. Pool was very nice and bar staff were helpful. I do wish they would include beer in the elite member free flow period, but that’s only a small thing. Very nice holiday here. Thank you.

This is a really good hotel. The site andd grounds are well maintained and the pool is lovely. The rooms are nice and spacious and they have a bathtub on the balcony. They do small things like add free drinks to the mini bar. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good, with a small, but good quality spread. The views from your room of the beach are nice and at night it's quiet with the sound of the sea.
