The customer service at this hotel was very poor. Giving two stars instead of one because many of the workers were very nice and the facilities, food, and location weren't so bad. The rooms and furniture around the hotel and resort were a little dated, but decent. The real problem is very few of the staff members were helpful at all, with a complete inability to answer any questions we had. Many times there was nobody at the towel station or we were told no towels or no open chairs at the beach, and when we asked when lunch started at 1:10 pm, they told us it started at 12:30 pm but they were running late so it wasn't ready and couldn't give us a time that it would start. The menus apparently didn't have everything you could order as we saw people with different food, and some staff said you needed reservations for dinner and some didn't and we never actually had to make one which was weird since we were told the first night that we would need to. With the all-inclusive package, staff were contradictory and sometimes made you still sign a bill and others acted confused when I asked if we needed to. The food itself was pretty good, but the service was extremely slow. The same was true for the bartenders at both the resort and hotel in general. They were nice, but sometimes you got the wrong drink, or it would take super long. The place was just very confusing and inconsistent all around with the shuttle between properties sometimes being early or up to 20 minutes late. It seems like they could benefit from just more training and consistency because I think the workers were nice. For an all-inclusive experience that costs a lot of money, we expected much better and more professional service. Overall we had a great time in Saint Lucia, but the experience here and level of service really didn't match up to the beauty of the island and other people we met for taxis services and excursions.

Everything about check in and arrival was excellent. We were served quickly and shown to our room with minimal wait time. Once we found our balcony, Shem Julien, our bar tender, saw us and invited us down for a drink at the bar. His friendly attitude and pleasant demeanour meant we. We’re very happy to visit his bar that was very well stocked. He was the perfect host and we are very happy to be served by him at the hotel again.

I had an amazing holiday in St Lucia. Very comfortable stay at Bay Gardens Hotel. Clean room and facilities. Peaceful swimming pool and gardens. Close walking distance to the beach or accessible via a free hourly shuttle bus. Excellent bar with delicious drinks.
The staff were fantastic and really made my stay special - all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Quincy, Terry, Helena and Danny who went the extra mile.
This was my first time in St Lucia but I will definitely be back!

Horrible experience… hotel staff is so unprofessional.. when given our complaints and expressing our dislikes they sent our house keeper to explain how’s she tired and overwhelmed. How unprofessional… we shouldn’t have to worry about that on vacation. Along with being met with attitude. I was going to buy a timeshare but not after that experience at all. I will not recommend or ever come back. St. Lucia is my home and I come at least twice a year and also visit at least 5 other countries in a year and this by far was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered in all my travels. And I will always be honest and write a good or bad review and sorry bay gardens your hotel staff needs a lot of work. Also, our room went two days without clean up. Uploading the pics below

Somewhat dated, basic holiday resort with typical 90's Caribbean design. Our room was functional and clean with a balcony that was missing the unit for drying clothes (others had them). Bathroom door was wonky and couldn't close properly. Good sized double bed and a fridge was a positive.
The resort has extensive grounds with small pools and a fun and huge garden chess. There's a shuttle service to the beach every hour and you can use the sun beds at the sisters resort for no extra charge which is great!
Breakfast was a nice try but not great. Very slow service on most of the days and we often had to wait for items that ran out on the buffet including plates! (We've been told by a member of staff the reason for this is, because they are tired:)
They have 3 locations at Rodney Bay and the pictures you see on Google maps are from their nicest one but not all is like that!
