Bayview Beach Resort

Bayview Beach Resort had a great family room - a separate room with twin beds, and a huge bed in the "bedroom." The rooms were so spacious and we were really happy to have that after a long travel experience. The resort itself was quite dated and would benefit from freshening up and a deep clean. We had the breakfast included and are so glad we did. The rest of the amenities like the beach bar and the restaurant weren't top of the line but we were able to get great food and drinks at other beach restaurants and the hawker center that were both short walks away. We ended up spending most of our time in Georgetown so the location wasn't ideal, but we did get an afternoon to swim in the pool and it was nice to have the beach if we wanted to explore.

Kids really enjoyed the pools and the beach. The room is spacious. The garden is nice. There are many rooms but the balconies are clean. Amazing! However, it's 32 years old hotel so don't set too high expectation.

Rainu Sangray

This hotel has huge potential but is very tired looking. Towels were old and shabby, cleanliness could be better, bathroom is very dated. The pool and location were a saving grace although the pool could also do with some TLC. Wouldn't feel comfortable to stay here again till it had a serious refurb.

Shivanandan Pare

Just checked-in this evening… the staff was absolutely non friendly. I was with my 2 children 12 yrs and 10yrs old dragging 2 suitcases with backpacks around… quite surprised no one bothered to come and offer to take the luggage ( should have gotten alert then itself)… the we enter a lobby which was non air conditioned (ignored it considering that it is a beach facing property) … the reception had chairs ( kept for people to sit while their turn comes!!). At the reception the staff was eager to get the full payment rather than understanding our dietary requirements ( we are vegetarians and Vegan).. by the time we move towards the lift I felt we have made a wrong choice.. once we entered the room this feeling just got stronger… and then the bathroom, towels ( dirty). everything around just started screaming at us how the hell is this property rated 4 star. We call the reception asking if they have better room ( the one which looks like in their photos) they said this what they have and if we want we can write a bad review…. We are booked for 3 nights not sure what all we need to experience.. Tomorrow breakfast will be the first test… as far as food is concerned!! Suggesting anyone looking at booking this to not do it…. There surely are better places … don’t get fooled by the location…

The rate is not too pricey. Love the location and the big compound. Also love the swimming pool, with the additional area for kids. Hope can improve the room more. Some furniture seems old a bit. But overall it is a good place to rest and have a good time with family.
