I have stayed in many all inclusive resorts and I have to say the management was the most underrated here. We booked a partial ocean view. What we got was a view of the tennis courts and the highway. When addressed we were given an upgrade to our dining. While a nice gesture, it only was given to two of our 9 party so did not serve us well. The first two days we had to call 4 times to have the water in our shower fixed. First we only had ice cold water, when they said it was fixed, it was boiling hot and could not be adjusted. They again came back and "fixed" it to ice cold water that could not be adjusted. When management was approached she asked me to give my story as she slowly typed on her phone my details line by line. I felt it was the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. Then was told there was nothing they could do about the fact I had gone two days with no shower. As I stated I have done all inclusive before and I know there are a lot of perks I could have been given to make our trip more enjoyable that they did not offer to offset the inconvenience. The door handle fell off our slider door. Our rooms were not cleaned until 5pm when we were looking to shower for dinner which made us late to meet our other guests we were traveling with. There are only 4 staff members that I felt were not helpful or friendly the entire trip. The ladies at guest services made fun of me when I went to complain about the shower for the fourth time and there are two older female bartenders that need to retire. They never smile and only speak to each other. Other than the we loved the staff. We treated and tipped them all very well. Jamaica is beautiful and we loved the people and we will be returning but not to this resort. We have two days left to our trip and will enjoy every second of it as we spend a lot of money and this is about making memories and not the small details. However, had management at this resort stepped up they may have had returning travelers and lifelong guests. They did themselves a disservice by just not giving us a few perks to offset our inconvenience. This is why they are receiving a 1 star review. Very sad! Alittle effort would have changed that. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes for future guests.

Firstly, I must say the view of the hotel is very awesome and attractive. Secondly, the front desk attend ( Shantoy) made our stay Memorable and absolutely stunning.
My only problems were the room service the menu needed a lot more options and update for lunch and dinner and also the entertainment we would like something a little more lively.

It's no 4-5 star resort (unlike the Holliday inn of the past) but it's decent value for your dollar. The ground keeping is clean and very well cared for. The pool is very clean. The beach is well groomed and clean. There is enough shade at the resort as I never used a drop of sunscreen during my stay.
The food is mediocre.
Some staff were pushy for tips but most were well behaved.
The tour division 'world to meet ' (W2M) was a disappointment as I felt the excursions were substandard.
Customer service should also be improved upon as getting a refund from (W2M) was difficult and confrontational.
The air traffic and highway noise can get annoying at times but it's not Catalonia's fault...but it's still a reality.

Upon my arrival, the staff greeted my child and me warmly and were very helpful throughout our stay. They called me every day to ensure everything was going well. This was my second time staying here, and we opted for a one-bedroom suite to celebrate my son's birthday. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, featuring a jacuzzi bath and an amazing steam shower.
The food at the buffet had improved since my last visit, and I would rate it a 10/10. However, I found it bothersome to have cats wandering around while my son and I were trying to eat. The only restaurant where we encountered staff with attitude problems was the Jamaican restaurant. They mistakenly booked us for a day when the restaurant was closed, and when I sought to reschedule, the male hostess was quite rude. As a result, we missed out on dining at one of their restaurants, and had to resort to the buffet, which was acceptable since they offered oxtail and rice and peas.
The entertainment left much to be desired. Coming all the way to Jamaica, I was hoping to experience more of the local culture, but they mostly played all-American music. I wished they would have mixed it up a bit. To get a real cultural experience and taste fresh Jamaican fruits, I had to leave the resort.
Despite these issues, the resort is a relaxing, kid-friendly, and clean place. Overall, I enjoyed my trip and would consider coming back again.

It's not quite up to Catalonia brand name yet. The rooms were not upgraded. Specifically, the bathroom was small and dated. The staff was great and friendly. The food was not authentic and had no spice or seasoning. ETC members are not recognized yet, so there is no VIP service. The view from the room was nice. The only great part was the strong drinks and staff. They do have a free shuttle to the shops, which were all overpriced. We had the best experience we could from the place.
