The staff could not have been nicer. Especially Robert Abe who went out of his way to ensure we were well looked-after. The hotel is undergoing some well-needed renovations, but that should not deter you from staying here. Excellent location.

My experience at Hilton Osaka is mixed. To start with the good, it’s located across from the new Osaka station, albeit not very helpful for those traveling via Shinkansen to the Shin-Osaka station, and far from most tourist attractions. It’s a newer and nice side of town, easily walkable to Kitashinchi, but otherwise it feels very boring and a middle “disconnected” point. Upon entering the property, we got waved to the front counter where we left our luggage with the staff, prior to completing our check-in. Our luggage was left at the front counter after paying incidentals and copying passports, until just before dinner, when we finished our days itinerary and we began the check-in process. Our bags were still at the counter, which was a little strange for a 5-star property. Usually I would expect our bags would be placed in our rooms. Once we got our room keys, the front desk gave one of the employees a ticket to gather our luggage, and it seemed we were expected to bring our own luggage to our rooms, and we weren’t offered a room tour. Extraordinarily strange, coming from other 5-star hotels that would insist that we don’t even touch our luggage. When we got to our rooms, I was expecting at least some variety of welcome treats or fruits, and there were none. Only bottled water. The rooms themselves are quite tiny, and the bathroom situation is a little strange, with a privacy wall that opens and closes from the bedside, rather than in the bathroom. After arriving back after dinner, I was also expecting some form or variety of turn-down service, and once again, no turndown service. The rooms also were very visibly dusty. That being said, the service was accommodating, albeit there were lots of opportunities to push past the 3-star hotel experience that left us dumbfounded why this hotel is considered a 5-star property, especially at a 5-star hotel price point. The following week, I booked at a hotel within a short walk from this property and found the service to be a huge night and day difference.

Rooms are spacious especially for Japan. Very clean. Be aware there are smoking rooms in this hotel. We were erroneously placed on a smoking floor. They immediately made it right. The views from upper floors are amazing.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The location is very convenient, and the concierge was particularly helpful in making last-minute reservations. Breakfast would improved by having a rotating breakfast menu. We stayed four nights, and the property offered the same food choices daily. It was also very crowded every day.

Overcrowded, elevators that took forever since only two out of six works. Noisy room with heavy footstep sounds coming from above. We are elite Hilton members and were told we had an upgraded room. The room turned out to be the standard room. This hotel was $500 a night which is double what other similar hotels run so we thought it would be nice. Well we were very wrong. We had a three night stay but checking out after one night. Checkin took 45 minutes due to crazy crowds here. Ill never stay here again and I come to Osaka often
