This hotel supposed to be a 4 stars hotel but when I get in my room I feel like I'm back to 1990. Everything is super old and also the shelf in my bathroom is almost broken. Obviously staffs didn't vacuum the carpet carefully either I can see hair on the floor which is not mine. Plus the staffs in restaurant they are so nice friendly to westerners but not to people who has Asian face. I can't enjoy my stay here cause it makes me so frustrated.

I like to give praise but I cannot here. We stayed 4 nights. The first night we arrived around 6 and discovered there was no available reservations to dine at either resturant. That seemed unfortunate, and we walked a couple of blocks to find something at least adequate.
It was very surprising to discover that there were no tables available for the next two nights either. We did get reservations to dine on the 4th night.
This would not usually bother us, but the nearby dining options are extremely limited. The hotel is not in a buisy tourist part of the city. We used the local public transportation to get to various attractions but thought we would use the hotel shuttle bus to get us to the station on our last day. We checked ahead to make sure we didn't need to book the shuttle. We were told, no just go to the entrance, busses run every half hour. However, when we did, there was no room on the bus, and standing was not allowed. So we went by local bus, standing all the way with suitcases.
It seems this hotel caters mostly to tour busses. I would not recommend for individual bookings based on location and service.

Brilliant location, walking distance to the Kyoto Tower & to shopping districts of Kyoto.
Decent sized carpark allowing guests to park on site which makes things easier especially when you have couple of luggages to lug.
Amenities are plentiful, ranging from the basic toothpaste/brush to mini shaving foam aerosols.
In all, a very prim hotel with top notch service.

I stayed for 2 nights and my experience was really bad. The front desk staff were so unfriendly and unhelpful. They just stood and watched us struggle with our laugages with no help from them. Also when we asked for exra belows the answer was" NO, you already have belows "........ and we really were uncomfortable and felt discriminated aginst. WON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
