What a nice hotel! I booked a room for 4 people and they were very kind and accommodating. Each person was situated to have their own bed, which was difficult to find in Kyoto. When you enter the hotel you are greeted by smiling and respectful staff which are always available to attend to your needs. They have a very helpful front desk which will assist you in planning your day and trip as in what to do and what to eat. When you enter the room you see the large amount of amenities which are essential. All 4 of us got a hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving kits, foot pads and many more items. The foot pads came in handy after walking 30,000 steps a day. The hotel even stocked our room with 8 water bottles. The room was incredibly spacious and an absolute delight! Finally the staff were extremely helpful as when in need of a taxi they will go into the main road and wave you one. If ever in Kyoto come to this place!

(NOT A CHILD FRIENDLY HOTEL) We loved the hospitality of Japan until we reached this hotel. Reception staff has No regards for elderly or infants, 1. At 1 pm as we were early so rooms were not ready, so we asked for a space to prepare food for the baby but they denied to provide some space to prepare food for the baby but thankfully a good human from one of their restraunts helped us. 2. Later post 4 pm when some of our elderly members went for check in, they denied to provide room to one couple due to some clerical formality which can be completed after an hour as well. They made them wait for the room even after it was ready for check-in without any genuine reason. Not a good experience, wish we wouldn’t have booked for so long. We booked many hotels in Japan and all were great with very helpful staff, Sadly Tokyu is not

The shuttle service to the train station was most welcome and the concierge service excellent. The breakfast buffet has generous selection of good quality options. We enjoyed 4 nights as we toured Kyoto. Dinner was well prepared and served graciously.

This hotel was great. Very clean and excellent service. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. Please note that it is in a residential/commercial area, so to go to Most of the markets etc it is either a 20-25 min walk or a bus/taxi ride.

Disappointing rooms. Design from the 70s, look like never renovated, incl toilet, reception hall suggests a 5star hotel, in reality rooms are 2,5stars. Very old style, nothing modern, amenities low quality, worm down bathroom. Cannot recommend to stay here, unless you get a dirt cheap rate of under 100€.
