Good hotel and very friendly staff.
- The rooms are nice and clean enough, could be slightly bigger.
-The breakfast buffet is perfect and has all you need.
- The reataurants at the hotel are good, but only very limited options for vegetarians. 2 options max
- We only had breakfast included, but tried the evening buffet. 44€ per person with no drinks included is way too expensive!
- The location and view is amazing

We have just returned after a 10 day holiday at the Melia. The room was meant to be a premium room which was small & nothing luxurious about it. The food was not varied enough with not much choice. There was no rep in the hotel either. It was definitely not a 5 star experience. We wouldn’t come again. The beach was the only good thing & the views of the beach. You have to pay £23.50 euros every day for the sunbeds too & only 1 tiny pool at the hotel.

The view alone is worth staying at this property. The grounds are so nice and relaxing and the beach is gorgeous. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable. My only complaints with the room was the design of the shower, water would spray out all over the floor and the entrance door had an extremely loud creaking sound when closing. The breakfast buffet was great, with such a large selection and a beautiful setting overlooking the cala.

We enjoyed our stay at this well located hotel. The views are stunning and the beach is beautiful. However, there aren’t any activities that the kids could do beyond signing up to their kids club (my older kids have no interest in clubs). I didn’t think the hotel was particularly clean / spotless and some of the facilities require upgrading (the shower in our bathroom was usable but partially broken, the sink did not drain properly, etc). The main picture of the hotel with the infinity pool is accesible to adults only at an extra (and in my opinion: sizable) cost. Kids could only go to a backyard pool that had no views. The beach restaurant is overpriced. The restaurant during breakfast hours was under-staffed. The beach amenities are managed by a third party provider- also at an extra fee. Parking is also at an extra fee (we decided to park on the street but this is probably not viable during peak season). And the list goes on.
We were also approached by staff who wanted to sell some sort of Melia experience to us. I was already disappointed by the value of this hotel by then and am experienced enough to know that falling to this trap could cost you up to an hour (or more) of your precious time; so I kindly declined. I did feel this was distasteful considering we were with kids and were only staying for 3 nights.
On a positive note, the staff were lovely and attentive and there was a good “vibe”. The one time we managed to get our younger boy to stay at the kids club for a little while, we thought the people there were fantastic.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay but will not be coming back, and we’d only recomend this hotel to others if available at a steep discount. It does not feel like a 5 stars hotel and it is not a good value for money. We would not recomend this hotel to families with kids who are not fond of participating in kids clubs as there weren’t any activities that we could do as a family other than listening to live music at night.

Dreadful stay
I stayed with my wife in august for a whole week and there are no words to describe how terrible it was.
First of all, the room (on the second floor) was ridiculously small and extremely smelly. The furniture in general is old and worn away, the bathroom was everything but clean and the faucets were all deteriorated. Definitely the room was not worth the amount of money we paid for, you expect something very different for this price.
The food quality was also quite poor for a 5 star hotel, neither at the buffet or at the Cape Nao the food was good value for money. Not to mention that the staff over there understood very little English and was able to speak even less. Very disappointed taking into account that most of the dinners were foreigners. I can’t understand how va it be possible that in a 5 star hotel the staff is completely unable to speak English.
However, the front desk bears the brunt of the terrible experience. Our room key was malfunctioning most of the time so we had to come to the front desk every day to have it reactivated. Despite of the fact that there were 4 computers, most of the time there was just a lady with red hair alone, while you could hear the other staff members throwing a party at the back office laughing out loud whilst she was always by herself, so we had to queue for 10 mins just to have a new key.
It has to be said that this young lady seemed to be the only hotel staff member fluent enough to provide relevant information in fluent english or explain anything from the restaurants or the menus when we asked. Not even the big fish, dressed up in nice suits (who were merely sycophants) were fluent in English.
We came through TUI UK as some friends spent their holidays in this Melia hotel last year and strongly recommended it to us, but it’s been a huge disappointment.
Too many things to be improved, until then, never coming back.
