Fabulous resort for families with kids. We booked a family slide room and the kids love it so much. A lot of things for kids to do and my kids love the water park so much, Breakfast is a great choice to select from. The location was great walkout outside the hotel has a lot of restaurants, 7-11, and laundry service. Hair salon. We definitely go back again.

If you're traveling with kids and it's your first time in Thailand, this hotel might work for you. However, if you're a local or a frequent traveler in Thailand, especially one who enjoys staying in five-star hotels, I'd suggest steering clear of this place. Initially, I wanted to rate it 1 star on Google, but I added an extra one solely because of the staff. Most of them were very nice, friendly, and helpful. The room was outdated, and the water pressure was terrible—it took ages to rinse my hair. The hotel amenities were of poor quality; I had to replace the shower cap almost daily. One day, we returned to the room at 4:30 PM, and it hadn't been cleaned. We had two TVs, but neither worked. The staff tried to fix them, but without much success. Forget about the food at the hotel—it’s not worth mentioning. If you're looking for a peaceful and cozy spot, this isn't it. As I said earlier, if you're a first-time traveler in Thailand, this place might be okay. But if you're familiar with Thailand, avoid this hotel—don’t waste your money here. On the second day, I received an email from the hotel asking for feedback. I tried to share my thoughts, but their form only allowed 225 characters. I rewrote and sent it, but nothing happened. The staff were always polite and apologetic, but unfortunately, they couldn’t fix the issues. I had read many reviews from different sources before booking and tried to ignore the negative ones since the hotel had so many great reviews. However, after staying here, I realized that those negative comments were actually true.

For us, a trip to Thailand is where we can relax at the same time while our kids have a good time as well, unfortunately this was not our cup of tea. But if you’re looking for a trip with your kids aged 6 and above and want a hotel to keep them busy around the clock, then this is the place for you. However, if you need a peaceful holiday, it’s not the best option. The resort is not only huge (giving it a very commercial feel) but also crowded at all times. The breakfast is okay, but too crowded for someone to be able to enjoy it. The breakfast was overall a 3/5 given the choice of food and ambiance. For me, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but here I felt claustrophobic and couldn’t eat; there were far more tables than the capacity of the restaurant, ques all around, banging of plates, and loud chatter. The management should consider hosting guests at a third location as well, because they have literally crammed all families under one roof and only allow couples with no kids to dine at the second breakfast venue. Being parents to three kids aged 5 and under, it’s not the ideal destination. The place cuts you off from the outside world as well. It’s a long walk if you want to visit the markets and massage spas nearby. I would prefer a more relaxing and less crowded place to stay for my next trip here. Rooms are nice and clean with good facilities . The beach is well maintained and beautiful.

Our stay at The Sands Resort in Phuket this past July was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Jim. From the moment we arrived, Jim went above and beyond to help us plan our day trips and expeditions. His deep knowledge of the area, combined with his honesty and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring we had the best experience, made all the difference. Jim didn’t just recommend the usual tourist spots. He took the time to understand what we were looking for and offered tailored suggestions that exceeded our expectations. Every experience he helped us organize was nothing short of amazing, and it was clear he truly cared about making our stay memorable. His friendly demeanor, professionalism, and sincere desire to help really stood out. We genuinely felt that Jim’s efforts elevated our entire vacation, making it a trip we’ll remember forever. If you’re ever at The Sands Resort, make sure to seek out Jim—he’ll ensure your stay is as wonderful as ours!

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel (July 14 - 28, 2024). For us, everything was perfect. We knew exactly what to expect: It was rain and low season. The rain and cloudy weather was never a problem for us. Rather the opposite, we really enjoyed the rain and also using the pools in that time. The water park was great for the whole family, no matter if adult or child.
