Just returned from a couple of nights at Club Madina.
Firstly the good points - the facilities and size of the hotel are very good. There are numerous swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds, both in the shade and sun. The choice of drinks on the AI package are good and include cocktails which is a bonus. The food offerings are great at all meal times and there was a wide variety of both local and international food, as well as an outdoor kitchen serving burgers, pizzas and similar. The rooms were of a good size and sufficient for our stay. Animation staff were great and although we didn't partake, they were always doing classes by the pool and evening entertainment.
Areas for improvement - in order to get a towel for the pool, you need to pay 100 MAD each. When I explained that I had no cash and assumed I'd be able to pop this on the room and secured under a credit card, I was told this was not an option and there was no flexibility around this. The food was not labelled and there was a shortage of spoons for serving. My partner has a seafood allergy and not being able to see what was in each food item and then also watching other guests use a utensil for seafood before putting it back in a veggie dish wasn't ideal. Cleanliness of the bar areas left a bit to be desired and the bar top was often dirty and needed a wipe down. Also when ordering a beer, I had to do this at the outside part of the bar before going inside to order a spirit or wine. On check-out, we had a charge added for henna tattoos that we had not purchased and which was abundantly clear to the reception staff when we showed them our hands. Despite this, the printed bill which I was expected to sign still had this charge on. When I challenged this, I was told to just sign it.
A nice hotel but the reception staff let the hotel down due to inflexibility.

Staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, the check in was fast and we had a welcome marrocan tea and our bags taken to our room straight away. The room was basic but comfy and clean we had a balcony. Lots of variety of foods and drink. Bottled water and wine on your table at lunch and dinner and there is a hot buffet outside at breakfast lunch and dinner
3 lovely pools, spa, small shop on site along with a doctor.
Bar staff and entertainment team were very attentive and ensured everyone had a great time.
Plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas.
There is something different to do and eat every da

Room:
Very basic. Air con didn’t work and we asked them to fix it but never did. Small and very dated
Location: in the middle of nowhere. 150 Diram for a taxi.
Food was basic and the same every night.
2-3* at best. Pool was good and that’s about it.
We went to the main square to keep busy.

I travel a lot but this has got to be the worse service I’ve ever experienced! All inclusive with not enough cutlery, glasses to cater for its customers! An all inclusive where you can’t get a drink or tipsy, and when you do get served you get a third of a glass of beer that’s gone in no time and have to start waiting to get served again!!!! The food is the same every day, they have theme nights like pasta night or Moroccan nights which are served every lunch and dinner regardless of the theme so themes here are pointless. Animation team have the exact same routine daily play the exact same songs nightly I can even tell you the time every evening the songs that’s going to be next it’s boring 🥱!

Feel I had to do a review on this hotel if it will help anyone else from not going here, we booked this as an extra winter break.
Rooms are very basic but fine for what we paid, however with 2 adults in the room was very annoying when everyday we were left one towel, on occasion we were only left one hand towel. The phone for reception didn’t work and our room was quite a distance from the main building so had to constantly walk down to ask for more towels to be told they are delivered at a certain time, and we would have to wait to get ready!
Now for the bar staff , first night loads of people waiting to be served and one man behind the bar was more concerned with wiping trays and moving bottles from one place to another , when you did get served and would ask for a beer and a vodka lemonade , you would get one drink and then he would turn away from you and start cleaning or serving someone else , very frustrating and this happened a lot! Found all the bar staff quite rude and not helpful at all.
They serve beer at the main bar and the snack bars but don’t serve spirits at the snack bar , but have this rule that when at the main bar if you are at the pool you must get your spirits at one bar then walk quite the distance to the other bar , all because they didn’t have paper cups for the beer?
Last night of the holiday they ran out of vodka, which when that is all you drink is very annoying to be told you can have anything else, spoke to the manager and asked him if he could get an order of vodka over from the sister hotel, he could not be more unhelpful as well.
The only good thing about this hotel was the food had lots of variety, staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and welcoming, no complaints regarding the restaurant at all, also the animation team were all very pleasant, if you let them know you didn’t want to participate in games etc they would leave you be, but would always say hello, the songs at night time however were very repetitive.
Oh and the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, nothing around you at all, there is a shuttle bus that takes you into the main square in Marrakesh which takes about 35 minutes, Marrakesh is lovely with loads of markets and rooftop cafes and bars.
Would go back to Marrakesh but will never ever want to go anywhere near this hotel again
