The Park Royal Hotel in Penang is an impressive, family-friendly resort that consistently delivers a luxurious and enjoyable experience. I’ve visited Batu Ferringhi several times and stayed at a variety of hotels, yet each time I find myself comparing them to Park Royal. This hotel truly stands out, and even though I came back here after 25 years, it still feels as charming and welcoming as ever.
For families, there are a host of activities to keep the kids entertained, and the atmosphere is perfect for all ages. If you’re looking for a romantic evening, the resort offers several cozy, intimate restaurants that are ideal for couples to spend quality time together.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and quiet, providing a peaceful escape with breathtaking views of the beach. There’s something about staying here that makes you fall in love with the seaside all over again. However, due to its family-oriented environment, you’ll find areas like the swimming pool and breakfast zone to be lively and bustling with kids and families. This lively atmosphere is part of the charm, although it may not appeal to those seeking complete isolation.
Additionally, the resort has a few convenient shops, which came in handy when I needed to pick up some items I’d forgotten.
The only slight downside was the breakfast. While it was satisfactory, I feel there’s room for improvement in the menu variety and quality. However, aside from that, everything else about the Park Royal Hotel was truly fantastic. This is a wonderful resort that offers something special for everyone and keeps me coming back!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a truly exceptional vacation at Park Royal Penang, and it was nothing short of remarkable. The room was beautifully appointed with a stunning ocean view that added a touch of serenity to my stay. The culinary offerings were delightful, with a diverse selection of high-quality dishes that catered to every palate. Moreover, the service was exemplary—attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every member of the staff seemed committed to ensuring a seamless and memorable experience. Without a doubt, Park Royal Penang provides an idyllic retreat, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking both luxury and relaxation in a breathtaking setting.

In my opinion the price is worth it as you can spend the day from 9am. As it is also front beach hotel, you can just walk to the beach and enjoy there as well.
Shower room is clean and nice with shampoo & shower gel.

Overall my stay at this hotel was good. The staff were very nice and friendly, always ready to assist and make the stay comfortable. The Italian restaurant on site by the beach, had fantastic food and I also really enjoyed the board games and the cooking demo they offered.
However, I feel that the hotel could use a bit of TLC. The rooms, while comfortable, could benefit from some modernisation, and the cleaning, especially in the bathroom, could be improved. A little more attention to detail in this area would've definitely made our stay better and made it feel like a 5* resort.
Despite this, I still had a good time and would recommend the resort, for its welcoming staff and range of activities.
