The rooms are pretty small, but I think this may be a San Francisco norm. For me, the bathroom is just a little too compact, and the water pressure is severely lacking. Eager to get home for a normal pressure scrub! The location is excellent (super walkable) and staff are friendly and awesome!

As soon as we pulled up to the front doors the bell hop services and valet were extremely helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect for us to see everything we wanted. We were checked in by a gentleman name Tony that wished me a happy birthday and upgraded our room to have a better view and comped each member of our party a free drink at their gorgeous “Post Room” Lounge, likewise the lounge on the 21st floor had amazing cocktails and breathtaking views of beautiful San Francisco. Our room was comfortable and housekeeping did a great job cleaning. This will be the only hotel we consider when traveling to San Francisco!!!

Perfect San Francisco charm. I love these old buildings with so much charm. They have lived so many lives. Well kept hotel. Clean and very charming. Great location. I will return and recommend to friends.
The bar and restaurant are fantastic as well!

Hood location near the Union Square and next to the Powell Street car rail.
Its history build and interior has the historical marks that match with its historical background.
That historical look, however, also leads to the tight space rooms and not so great noise insulation.
Think twice if you need a bit more space to move around. I almost trip over several times trying to move between the end of the bed and the dresser holding the TV. That space feels a bit smaller than the aisle. The street noise and voice from the other room making loud phone calls can make good night sleep a challenge.
Room service everyday in general good, except one day they put a small towel with several brown spots on it as new change. Not sure if it's the towel leftover marks after wash or it just old towel. We simply did not use it. No space for ironing.
Do look though the final bill, they left additional charges on our bill that I have to call to get it corrected.

Had a short two day stay here. First time here. It was a sweet place. The staff were friendly, the rooms were perfect. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets and pillows were soft (I’m super picky!). I liked the little window seat. That was a nice touch. Great view with a little water view. The bathroom was small but cute and clean. Also, the floors are not carpet which I totally appreciate! It was very quiet. The window even opened a crack which I loved having a little fresh air in the room! Bonus with the bar situation! Two cute bars. The top floor one was awesome. Great vibes. We loved our stay.
