Perfect small island with a beautiful beach for snorkelling, diving, swimming, excellent food and very friendly and warm staff. Rooms are very big and clean, you have everything you need. It was lovely! The staff looked after us very well. Great for snorkeling! You're immediately surrounded by shoals of fish, sharks, parrot fish. Our room was serviced every day. Fresh bottled water. The island is great. Plenty to do with excursions to sign up for, a spa, snorkeling, diving, relaxing.

We recently stayed at Ellaidhoo by Cinnamon for one week from June 3 to 10. When booking our stay two months in advance, we specifically requested a room on the beach side of the island. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were assigned a room on the opposite side—facing the rocky shore, with no beach access—and on the second floor, despite having clearly informed the resort that we would be traveling with a small baby and a stroller. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that much of the island’s perimeter is reinforced with large, anti-erosion black concrete blocks, significantly detracting from the natural beauty of the surroundings. The actual beach area is limited to a small portion—approximately one-fifth—of the island. On a positive note, the buffet restaurant exceeded expectations. It offered a wide variety of dishes to suit different tastes, and the staff at the restaurant were consistently kind, helpful, and attentive. However, our experience with the bar service was less than satisfactory. We felt that the bartenders treated guests differently based on their meal plan, with those on a half-board basis, like ourselves, receiving noticeably less courteous service compared to all-inclusive guests. On more than one occasion, we were told that complimentary tea was reserved exclusively for all-inclusive guests—even for a child—which was neither stated at check-in nor mentioned in any written communication. This seemed particularly inconsistent given that the same tea is freely provided in guest rooms. Final takeaway launch box given for the trip was a fantastic idea, well done for that. Regrettably, the overall experience did not meet our expectations, particularly given the standard the Cinnamon brand is known for. We hope management will consider these concerns to improve future guest experiences.

We spent 5 unforgettable days in this island paradise, and it was absolutely worth every moment. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always making us feel welcomed. The food was delicious and truly worth the price we paid — fresh, flavorful, and plenty of variety every day. We stayed in a beachfront villa with an incredible sunrise view — waking up to that each morning was magical. We also experienced the water villa, which was just as amazing. Watching the sunset from the balcony while spotting reef sharks and vibrant marine life below was something we’ll never forget. We really appreciated the resort’s zero-plastic initiative — it’s a small but meaningful step for the environment. Our only concern was the hidden charges. There were some unexpected taxes that turned out to be quite costly, and we wish we had been informed more clearly about them in advance. Overall, it was a well-spent and dreamy getaway that we’d recommend — just make sure to ask for a full breakdown of costs before your trip. One thing to note: drones are not allowed inside the island. We managed to fly ours just outside the water villa area, beyond the island perimeter, to still capture those stunning aerial shots.

I want to share my experience about our stay at Ellaidhoo by cinnamon , we’ve been my husband and baby . Overall the hotel looked great but our expectations and reality were different, first of all we should have stayed on the way bungalow but beach one instead this is really a foolishness on the website as well because they are charging extra for comfort but you don’t get it as well as full board weren’t a clear explanation about what includes. We felt very disappointed about their service when all inclusive people had all the attention it’s a bit awkward. The food first days was very poor didn’t have much to choose , also to mention about the fruits didn’t find a lot of variety always same like mango , avocado , bananas etc. The bar staff also not very nice and some guys didn’t understand plain English, always side eye waiting for tips . The cocktails were nice and kitchen made some meals for our baby . Not highly recommended won’t come back for another time .
