I recently stayed at this all-inclusive resort for five days, and I wish I could give it a lower rating than one star. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare from the moment I checked in.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked, and I would need to switch rooms the next day. While I was accommodating and understood the situation, I requested assistance with moving my luggage since I would be out on an excursion all day. When I returned later, I was shocked to find the new room had a leaking light fixture in the bathroom, with water pouring in from the bathroom above. This was not only unsanitary but completely unacceptable.
It took almost nine hours to be relocated to yet another room, and this new room was a noticeable downgrade from the one I had originally booked. To add insult to injury, I was not reimbursed for the downgrade despite the obvious difference in room type and price. I spent hours in the lobby, going back and forth with various staff members, only to be repeatedly given the runaround.
Eventually, a manager assured me that I would be credited the difference for the downgrade and that 2-3 nights of my stay would be comped due to all the inconveniences I endured. However, at checkout, I was presented with a full bill, with no credits, adjustments, or even a note in my account reflecting what had been promised.
The hotel’s lack of professionalism and dishonesty is appalling. I’ve never encountered such poor service, and the mismanagement of basic customer care was infuriating. This resort completely failed to live up to any reasonable expectation of hospitality, and I would advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere. They have shown they cannot be trusted to deliver on their promises or provide a satisfactory guest experience.

Rooms were always damp and smelled like mold, to include the bed. I understand that humidity is high due to being next to the ocean, but that means the hotel should invest in dehumidifiers.
This location is FAR from the airport. The last thing I want to do is travel a winding road for 2 hours after I just got off a 4.5 hour flight.
The diamond pass is such a waste! DON’T do it. The bar ran out of tequila. Additionally, there was absolutely no Top Shelf alcohol at all. Service is slow. The “clubs” weren’t clubs at all. And this location was not advertised as a clothing optional resort. These freaky frogs were doing too much with the nudity and taking pictures of strangers. I want my money back!

We had a great stay at this resort, but I wouldn’t consider it 5-star. Still, I would recommend it. Here’s our experience:
Location:
The resort is 1.5 hours from Vieux Fort airport. The drive was smooth, though some may find the roads winding. It’s secluded with a lovely beach and close to Castries if you want to explore. Visiting the Pitons requires a 40-minute boat ride or a 1.5-hour drive, so we stayed at the resort due to our short trip.
Food:
Lots of options, but nothing stood out. The buffet had variety, and room service (included) was fresh and tasty—better than buffet versions. Reservation-only restaurants (Dorada and Hunters) were fine; salmon dishes were the highlight. The food truck by the pool was fresh and convenient, and the coffee shop had delicious ice cream.
Drinks:
I didn’t drink alcohol but noticed a nice selection, especially with the Diamond Club. Tap water is drinkable, which was a great eco-friendly perk. However, I wish there were self-serve specialty coffee machines available 24/7.
Rooms:
We stayed in an Ocean View Diamond Club Suite, which had a private butler, champagne on arrival, a soaker tub, and great AC. However, our safe broke and wasn’t fixed, causing inconvenience.
Activities:
The staff was energetic, and the daily water aerobics were fun. There were plenty of games like chess, ping pong, and shuffleboard, with schedules posted daily.
Beach:
The beach was excellent with calm waters for swimming and snorkeling. There were always enough chairs, and cabanas were first-come, first-serve but never crowded.
Staff:
The service varied—some staff were friendly, while others, especially at bars, lacked engagement. Pool bars were often unattended. However, our butlers, Raymond and Kurtney, were exceptional, making our stay memorable.
A strange experience involved turn-down service. A woman knocked at 8 PM, didn’t provide services, and hinted for a tip. It turned out she wasn’t housekeeping, which felt odd.
Housekeeping:
Housekeeping, especially Ginette, did a great job and didn’t pressure us for tips.
Amenities:
The resort offers free photoshoots with optional photo purchases. Pools and a kid-friendly area (Royalton side) were available, but most restrooms needed updates, with broken locks and faucets.
Overall:
While it’s not 5-star, the resort offers a good experience with a beautiful beach, decent food, and standout butler service. A few service inconsistencies and maintenance issues hold it back, but it’s still worth a visit.

My husband and I came to celebrate our Honeymoon. What we thought started out as an adventure, our experience got worse each day we were there. 1. You have to make reservations for dinner, in which we had no clue about upon arrival. 2. The hotel in general could be A LOT more cleaner!!! The pools are dirty and not cleaned regularly throughout the day. There was a nasty film floating in the pools which made me sick to my stomach. The rooms are dirty and so are the linens. I noticed our room wasn’t being properly cleaned, so I had to leave a note for the housekeeper to use disinfectant when cleaning our bathroom/shower or (we even left a tip). 3. Housekeeping/room service is rude. I called for water several times and was told only housekeeping brings you water. No one shows up! Our refrigerator was not replenished daily with beverages. 4. I got stuck in the elevator. Luckily I was able to get myself off. No one heard me ringing the elevator bell!
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely will not return if we decide to visit St. Lucia again.

DO NOT VISIT HERE!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I wish I could give this place zero stars. It was a catastrophe from nearly the beginning, and if I hadn't already paid a non-refundable deposit, I would have canceled my wedding at this location. The customer service is terrible, I felt like they completely ruined the entire wedding experience for me. We had complaints from the moment of arrival, check-in was a disaster for almost all of the 65 guests my fiance and I brought. The resort is worn down, a few of my guests had leaks in their rooms that the GM (Jose) ignored and showed no interest in dealing with. It was so bad that a few of my guests even met with the resort management (going over the top of Jose) and nothing came of it.
The resort also is breaching the contract I signed and not upholding its financial obligation. No one seems to care about anything at this resort and I am surprised that Marriott is affiliated with a place of such poor service.
As a Marriott (parent company of Royalton) shareholder and member, I am less than enthused to continue doing business with any of these companies. This has been a complete disaster. What a way to ruin a moment in my life that should have been a joyous occasion.
I have sent in several complaints and have yet to hear back from Marriott management or someone to handle any of this on the Royalton side. I cannot believe business is allowed to be handled this way. But I have no problem getting legal involved if I don't receive the money that is owed to me via my contract.
