Great location! We will be getting married here and came for a test drive of the wedding. The resort was great and the employees were all very nice and accommodating. We had booked a swim up lagoon which came with room service. We took the 1 hr 40 min shuttle from the airport but it was not too bad. Very winding, but beautiful route along the island. The resort was relaxing and beautiful. We are excited to come back

first i want to say how beautiful the resort and location were! the staff and everyone were so accommodating. the resort is very clean, my room was constantly cleaned. me and my husband got married here and it was the best place and resort to do it! it’s was just us two! the wedding team was absolutely phenomenal! my day was so wonderful! thank you for making my day so perfect and special!
another great thing i loved was they are very accommodating if you have any food allergies! they made me a gluten free pizza it was so delicious! overall the food and service were 10/10
the only thing i have to say is the rooms need to be a little more modernized but otherwise 10/10 overall! and will definitely come back!! thank you again!!

My wife and I went to Sandals grande for our honeymoon Nov 2024. I think the property is beautiful. For the price point, I expected the food and service to be much better. The food was no where near as good as food I have had all inclusive in Mexico or on cruises. Seems like they are understaffed as wait times for drinks around the pool or being offered to order food by the pool was not possible. Based on our experience, I would not return to a sandals resort.

This was our first Sandals stay and it won't be our last. A gorgeous setting, beautifully manicured gardens, friendly staff, and lots to do nearby. Swimming was great thanks to a gradual beach and no significant undertow. Glad we stayed in a room with a garden view as we could watch the surf on the Atlantic from our balcony and were away from noise near the main pool. Musicians were very talented and we enjoyed the dancers. So much to do. Golf course exceeded our expectations. I got my phone wet when I was sprayed by a wave at the Atlantic side so I asked for a plastic bag and some rice from a female staff member at the Italian restaurant. She brought me a box and 2 bowls of rice to dry it out - more than I expected! Staff were great. It was fun to be around so many happy young honeymoon couples too.

Our stay at Sandals Grande St. Lucia had its moments, but overall, it didn’t live up to the 5-star experience advertised.
Food & Drinks: Honestly this is the main reason for 3 stars. The food was underwhelming, more akin to chain restaurants like Applebee's or Chili’s than gourmet dining (the service was great, this is purely the food taste/quality). Coffee was a challenge—there was only one machine near the breakfast buffet, and clean cups were often unavailable. The drinks were disappointing too, with low-quality alcohol and overly sweet cocktails. Even the wine was cheap and sugary.
Room Issues: While our room was clean and the AC worked well, it was dated and showed significant wear. The bathroom door handle was broken, leading to an alarming situation where both my husband and I got stuck on separate occasions. Maintenance eventually helped when I was stuck, but they never returned to fix it as promised, and the visible damage on the door frame suggested this wasn’t an isolated issue.
Activities & Atmosphere: The resort leaned heavily on constant entertainment, which got tiring after a day or two. We appreciated the quieter swim-out pools, but these were limited. The included snorkeling trip was disappointing—we waited over an hour past the scheduled time, only to snorkel for 30 minutes a short distance from the resort - we would have been better just swimming out to the spot the boat dropped us off at.
Highlights: Leaving the resort turned out to be some of the best parts of our trip. The security staff were friendly and helpful, and we loved exploring Pigeon Island and Gros Islet. Everyone we met outside of the resort was friendly and we felt very safe and comfortable.
While there were positives, such as the clean room and helpful staff, the dining, drinks, and maintenance issues made this far from the luxury experience we expected. For the price, we expected much more attention to detail and quality.
