We recently stayed at this resort in Cabo and had a mixed experience — some wonderful amenities but also several areas that need improvement. Cons: The room we were assigned was outdated and didn’t reflect what was shown on the website. There were a few maintenance issues — some outlets didn’t work, and the showerhead was loose. When I called the front desk, there was a language barrier, and it took two conversations before someone came to fix the problem. The maintenance person had to use a phone translator to communicate. Some staff members also didn’t come across as very genuine — for example, one person trying to sell spa packages didn’t seem to know much about the actual treatments being offered. We stayed in what I believe was Block 3, and although each floor had an ice machine, none of them worked except the one on the ground floor. This was frustrating, especially as a breastfeeding mom needing ice to keep milk cold (and the in-room fridge wasn’t great). To make matters worse, there were only two small elevators in that building, and one was out of service the entire four days of our stay. When we visited the newer building, all their elevators worked, and their ice machines were fully functional. Food was hit or miss — the Mexican truck wasn’t good, and the wings at one of the stations were chewy and undercooked. Customer service overall could be better, though I want to highlight one amazing spa staff member who really stood out. She handled an issue thoughtfully, apologized, and came up with a creative solution — true customer care. Pros: The kids’ activities were excellent — lots of variety and a great water playground that the little ones loved. The main pool was spacious and well-managed; even when the sun shifted, finding another comfortable spot was easy. The buffet had a wide selection (though the food sometimes got cold quickly, possibly due to the strong AC). I loved that I could grab ice cream anytime, and the coffee bar near the lobby was a great touch for early mornings or departures. Poolside drink service was also consistent and friendly. Overall: A family-friendly resort with beautiful pool areas and fun activities, but it definitely needs improvements in room quality, maintenance, and communication. With some attention to detail and better upkeep, this could be a fantastic stay. Overall we would not return for a family vacation

A wonderful all-inclusive option in Cabo. We were quite pleased with how beautiful the grounds and structures are, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of the food/beverages. The service was top notch, attentive and very kind. We enjoyed the food options, found the taste to be great, the food fresh and the options plentiful. Our room was very nice, A/C was excellent. Pools and leisurely areas are well maintained and they offer many games and activities to participate (or not) in. The beach is fantastic, but the water not swimmable. We would return again if we make it back to Cabo and I am keen on checking out some of their other properties. David at the pool bar and Saul, pool bar attendant, were fantastic and exceptionally friendly and attentive. Axel at the coffee shop was very friendly, remembered us and was always smiling and friendly. Greece, in la Hacienda steakhouse, made our evening tremendously comfortable and was keenly attentive and kind.

Overall this resort is great. However, staying in a resort on the beach that you cannot swim in the ocean is kind of...ehhhh... the pool is only about 3ft deep and it is bath water warm... we noticed a significant difference in the drinks compared to other locations in Mexico, this place had some of the worst drinks, maybe it was because of all of the humidity but it was a 5 day stay and after the 2 day we just decided not to even bother with the drinks... bottled water and store bought sodas. The restaurants dont open until 5pm every night, that's rough because the all you can eat buffet is covered in flies and nothing is warm. I did not decide to even eat that. We found the loop hole...you have to order room service for warm food and the room service food is actually better than the restaurants. We paid $60 for a round trip Uber ride to downtown Cabo, that lasted about 5 minutes. Can't walk anywhere without ppl trying to sell you drugs or con you into buying something. It smelled like sewage and the area was just filthy, so we left. The absolutely best part was using the spa. I definitely recommend doing the spa services.

First, I want to say that the resort was nice, spacious, and served good food. Staff were very friendly, polite, and showed good customer service. No complaints there whatsoever. However, I am very disappointed with Hyatt. I’ve experienced many all-inclusive resorts in Cabo and Cancun and I realized Hyatt is officially greedy and just cares about saving a penny wherever they can. I was here on a girls trip from Wednesday - Saturday. Wednesday night we wanted the buffet for dinner. The entrance to the buffet, along with the website, states that it is open for dinner daily, which is expected since it is an all-inclusive. However, when we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member that directed us to the Mexican restaurant across from the buffet. I asked about the buffet and why it was closed. The staff member (not their fault at all since they are just told from management what to do) said they are “giving the opportunity for families to have dinner at one of our restaurants” and said it would be open the next day (Thursday) because Thursdays are busier. I thought, “Oh! How considerate of Hyatt to dictate where I eat tonight, despite me paying for an all-inclusive that should give me various choices.” Then, we came across several issues with the switches in the rooms. On Wednesday (weekday and less “busy”), we wanted to sleep with the fan on but the fan would ONLY stay on if one of the main bright lights stayed on. Who is going to sleep with a bright light on? No one. So of course, we didn’t spike up their electricity bill by having the light on to use the ceiling fan. We even called the front desk and asked about this and the staff member on the phone said, “Oh yeah. You can’t have the fan on without the light.” So this isn’t an electrical issue. It’s rigged that way intentionally. Interestingly, on Thursday and Friday (the “busier” days), the fan worked without that light needing to be on. Also, our devices would not charge if that same light was not on, so we woke up and our phones, laptops, and watches were not charged. So the next day, we left the room and left some of our devices back to charge while we’re gone. Well our devices wouldn’t charge then either because if there is no movement in the room for about 5 min, everything turns off (lights, fans, AC, electricity). I know it is about 5 min because after breakfast one day, we decided to relax in the room for about an hour before we headed to the pool. Us 3 were laying down still but awake scrolling on our phones, and everything shut off after about 5 min. So at an all-inclusive resort I paid for, I must dance in my room to ensure the room detects me to keep the electricity on. Before booking your stay, just be aware that the “all-inclusive” Hyatt resort you paid for comes with exceptions. Just another company who is getting greedy and taking advantage of its consumers. I won’t be back. There are several other great and truly “all-inclusive” resorts out there. While I can leave them a 3 star review since their staff and customer service were great, I’m also going to be greedy with my stars.

We had an excellent and relaxing family vacation at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Several all-inclusive restaurants and bars to choose from and all restaurants (except 2 adult-only restaurants) had kids menus. Many kids activities throughout the day such as kids karaoke, go-kart race and pinata party that were organized by the friendly Kids Club staff. Attentive servers at the pool and overall friendly and professional staff. We will definitely stay again!
