The service at the restaurants were great, just know you can't access the beach from this hotel. The water is too dangerous.
As far as the rooms the reviews are true. We have killed over 10 German roaches since checking in 3 days ago. So I can imaging how many were missing that we can't see at night. One of the bed sheets weren't clean, the floor was also dirty and not cleaned before arriving lastly, the shower backs up after 2 minutes of using.
The hotal it's self is beautiful it could use better services to bring it all the way up to par. It could definitely be a 5star in the future. Not now.

Valentina, the activities coordinator at Krystal Grand, is absolutely fantastic! She goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone is having a blast and making unforgettable memories. Her energy and passion for her job shine through in every activity she organizes.
The beach volleyball and pool volleyball games are definitely some of the highlights during my stay – so much fun and incredibly well-organized! Valentina’s enthusiasm is infectious, and she has a wonderful way of bringing people together and making sure everyone is involved. Thanks to her, each day felt like a celebration.
If you’re looking to have an amazing time, Valentina is the one to thank. She’s truly awesome!

We had a great time at this hotel. We are a large group and never had any problems to do all activities together. Alcohol could be better quality. Pedro at the swim up bar is a great guy! The views from the altitude tower are amazing. There is an Adult only area which helped us to really enjoy our time without being annoyed by children

Our company All Inclusive Outlet recently did a site inspection of this property. I walked away being very impressed. I pay attention to the guests staying there and they looked to be relaxed and having a good time. As a travel agent that makes or breaks a property for me. Areas were clean and the rooms we saw beautiful. This is a budget friendly resort great for families, friends, couples, and solo travelers. Views were amazing and pools wonderful! The Sales Manager Jonathan and Sales reps were gracious and informative. If someone were looking for a good budget all inclusive in this destination, this would be a good choice. Don't be deceived by the name. There's nothing grand about this hotel. First, if you book the garden view room, they take you to another building called the "Bel Air Building" which is a 4 story OLD hotel they are including as part of the "Grand Krystal". None of the pictures you find online include this building, which has a separate entrance and elevators (which were disgustingly dirty). We had to pay extra to be stay at the regular larger hotel which has a bit of a bigger room.
The rooms are old and gross (couch from the 70's). The drinks are disgusting, food was mediocre (at best).
Not sure how anyone would rate this more than a 2 star.
