The most amazing nature-friendly resort in Thailand. They care about nature and animals as well as their guests. The staff is extremely polite and always smiling and willing to help. There are different activities every day that you can sign up for as well as different food buffets every night if you wish to try something different. They offer a gym, a tennis court and a spa with massages and sauna. The pools are really nice and there is no huge crowds or people reserving all the sunbeds early in the morning. For us the best part was the food which was absolutely amazing and the nature inside the resort, with a huge variety of animals. Also we went in March and there were almost no mosquitoes.

For the second half of our Thailand trip, we stayed at the Khao Lak Merlin Resort. The location is truly stunning. Whether you're lounging among the palm trees on the beach or on a lounger by the pool, there's something for everyone. The cocktails and food are very good and delicious. The rooms are clean, and even here you feel like you're still in the jungle. We highly recommend a visit to the Merlin Resort.

Fantastic hotel with great amenities. I love the conservation which takes place here and the views are stunning. The staff are always happy and helpful. The rooms are clean and the laundry service is brilliant. There is a taxi point in the hotel who were great. They took us on our trip to Phuket Old Town Market as well as waiting and bringing us back, making this a great experience. There is a small town about a 5 minute walk from the hotel with shops, places to eat and a fantastic little bar called Sea Breeze. The hotel is in a great location for trips such as to the James Bond Island. Overall a fantastic place to stay and I am glad we chose this hotel.

Greenest resort I've seen in Thailand! Beyond compare with any around in Khao Lak in terms of how nice it is to walk around, to eat and drink among the luxuriant vegetation but also how great the beach area is. Rooms are nice and the setting very relaxing, clean and cleverly designed. We particularly enjoyed the beach and that you have shade around there for many parts of the day, great for kids to play!

Room is overlooked - supposed to be superior!! Air con is not the best and is noisy. Beach towels cannot be exchanged by the pool, so soggy towels to lug about, plus you have to return them to your room else you’ll be charge 400bht per. So been to better hotels this holiday. Staff are friendly, food is very lovely. Expensive for drinks but luckily some beach bars and street bars at 1/3 price. A huge site to navigate around and lacked signage to toilets Pools are lovely and kept clean
