During my recent visit I stayed both in an oceanfront villa and a deluxe oasis (standard) room and found them both to be faultless. I didn't fully utilise the perks of the villa like the huge spa bath and the additional breakfast options but opening the curtains in the morning to be welcomed by the sea has something! The standard room was modern, bright and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast and dinner options were varied, tasty and catered for all tastes. Outstanding was the staff, be it at the reception, restaurant, pool or in the garden, I was always greeted with a genuine smile. The location of the resort is in walking difference from what the township has to offer. Also, you can borrow complimentary bicycles, a nice touch. Overall, I will not hesitate to return, possibly not in the middle of rainy season! ;)

We've been traveling around Thailand for two weeks now and have stayed in 5 different hotels. All of them were great, except for this one. We left after just one day and were much happier afterwards.
The worst part was the unfriendly staff and poor service. Even though the location was okay, it was no match for our current hotel on the white sand beach.
The staff here were incredibly rude and made us feel very unwelcome. In just one day, we had a few unpleasant experiences. For example, we were sitting at the pool bar one evening when a sudden downpour began. We asked the bartender if they had an umbrella, but they said no. We even asked if someone could go get one for us, but they refused. After about 15 minutes, we decided to get soaked and made our way to the lobby. When we asked the front desk for an umbrella, they said they had one but we had to fill out a form and sign it – something we've never had to do in Thailand before

We were very happy with the Ramada. We visited Khao Lak in the off-season, thus it was quite quiet and not too crowded.
Our room with garden view was spacious and clean.
Unfortunately, the sea was too rough to swim in but the pool is large and we very much enjoyed it. The prices at the bar are quite high but the have happy hour every day. ;)

Wow…Wow…Wow. We recently stayed a week with family and friends. The resort is beautiful, and the staff were always so friendly and helpful. The huge room we had was perfect and very clean. Even the GM was walking around the resort daily, chatting to guests and staff alike which was great. The food was delicious with lots to choose from. Congratulations to the Mgt and Staff for operating a stand out resort.
Highly recommend staying at the Ramada Resort Khao Lak.

Our family of two adults and two children stayed for 5 days, October 7-12 with all-inclusive package with Luxury Escape and had a wonderful time.
This is our 6th trip to Khao Lak but our 1st time staying at Ramada. We stayed at Avani 3 times and the Sands twice for the past 5 years. Here are our impressions of the 3 places
1 Service - Ramada staff delivered service consistently with big smiles. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband and I were happy with the pool bar bartender staff, housekeeping and dining staff. We felt tips were appropriate for their outstanding performance. The Sands is too crowded and we felt all services were rushed. Though they have the best water park for kids, we prefer Ramada and Avani for overall experience.
2. Drinks - My husband tried cocktail at other restaurants walking distance from hotel and they were terrible. We think cocktails at Ramada was the best. The Sands drinks were the cheapest. Avani drinks were expensive.
3. Food - Ramada by far is the best for breakfast buffet and ala carte served at their restaurant. Avani’s pizza and pasta served at the kids water play area was good but the food at beach house was below par. Dinner buffet at Ramada was definitely the best.
4. Management and problem solving - special mention to Khun Non and front desk staff at Ramada who took care of the difficult situation very well. We had thermites in our hotel room and upon finding out, we were moved to another room. Khun Non gave us an extra time for our complimentary massage beyond what was included in our package. We were very pleased. This is the best example of turning a problem into an opportunity to please hotel guests.
I’m including some photos taken at hotel.
