We stayed in a couple of hotels in this city and found this hotel was the best one.
We had a lovely evening on the rooftop bar with live music.
We enjoyed the club lounge and they made every effort to accommodate my gluten free diet. After a long day with airport delays we were grateful for the speedy service at check in.
Views over the market and onto the harbour were beautiful.

Best service ever.
We booked a club room and asked for a bouquet of flowers for my parents' wedding anniversary. They decorated it beautifully. Check-in was smooth in the club room. There was a slight problem with the extra bed, but they changed it right away. I would definitely visit again if I visit kk.
Cons: The pool smells like fish from the Filipino market.

My last visit was 3 years ago. Its always nice to be back to the hotel. The service is tip top. The front desk were efficient, friendly, warm welcoming with cookies for elite members.
Within minutes checking in, The manager greeted me at my room with welcoming drinks voucher at rooftop. That's such a kind gesture. This is customer service. A small thing that gave a big impact on the experience.
Room has good sound proofing. Won't hear much noise from the road. I don't even realise it was heavy rain outside till I saw it. My stay was calm and relaxing, which I need. It was a short stay but I love it.
Hope to come back again soon!

The food for breakfast and dinner at the lobby restaurant was really good. Try the pineapple fried rice with the huge prawn.
The hotel faces the market so there is a fishy market smell that you can smell once you step out or at the swimming pool, which doesn’t make it very pleasant.
Rooftop lounge was nice but the whole hotel is more suited for couples than families.
Rooms were big and spacious and the sea view facing room is a must have.

Our stay at Le Méridien was memorable and lovely. After hiking Mount Kinabalu and catching the Borneo five!, we had an opportunity to upgrade to the Ambassador suite. We enjoyed this stay and were so thankful for the chance to stay in the spacious and luxurious suite.
