A very nice hotel. Rooms were spacious. Pools and surrounding areas clean and tidy. Good food selection at meal time although the service did drop off towards the end of our stay. Very helpful staff who were very accomadating.

This was my first time at this resort. I will definitely be back. I stayed for 7 days but could have stayed longer. I love the fact that it’s children free. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The rooms are nice and cleaned and restocked often depending on when you want. I came to relax but there are many activities scheduled to do daily if you are interested. In the evenings there are also performances. There is a Bob Marley bar and bikini beach bar by the beach if you please. The food was okay; majority was bland but I guess it’s because it caters to mostly bland tourists. It would have been better to get a feel of the Cabo Verde flavours and cuisines at the hotel. It’s a great location. 10 mins away from Santa Maria. And 15 mins away from the airport. (There are a few cockroaches here and there but what do you expect. If you let them be they will let you be. I’m sure the hotel is working on getting rid of them.) I can’t wait to be back. See you guys soon.

The hotel and grounds were well maintained along with the bars and restaurants. Access through the resort and down to the beach was easy and simple. This is not a 5 star hotel though. Showing signs of being a little rough around the edges, from peeling room doors to gurgling swimming pools and sweat stained sunbed mattresses. I think 4 star would be a fairer rating. The pool snack bar services were slow and disjointed but as with the main all inclusive restaurant the food was good. We were only staying for 7 nights so were unable to get a reservation in the BBQ restaurant that opens Thursday to Sunday and didn’t have any availability when we tried to book on Friday - the day after we arrived. The Italian was fully booked until Tuesday (the earliest we could get in). The food was shocking! Far below the standards of the AI restaurant for both food quality and service. You could spend €20+ on wine upgrades and €40 for lobster but really, I felt like we’d wasted a night (not to mention it was half empty all night) We paid extra for a beach front apartment (at the bottom of the resort) the shower water pressure was shocking - virtually a trickle and the whisp of underpowered AC didn’t do anything to help the warm, mosquito packed nights. Seriously pack as much mosi repellent, plug in repellent, nets & anti- itch cream as you can as it’s virtually non existent out there (the amount of mosquitos is unbelievable). I know it seems like a bit of a moan but all in all it was lovely relaxing week with some good food, drink and great staff!

I had a very enjoyable time at the Melia Llana hotel from 11 to 20 June. I must say that it was a very successful stay. The room was spacious and cosy, cleaned every day, which is not the standard in recent times and is explained by environmental protection. The crew was extremely friendly and always ready to help. The only one thing I could complain about was the amount of towels available. Furthermore, I noticed the lack of a person supervising the pool area. On the first few days there was no need to occupy the sunbeds early, but then a new turn of guests arrived and started to lay down their towels, and the sunbed owners appeared around midday. The presence of a pool area supervisor could also have helped to ensure safety and avoid jumping into the pool. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to stay at this location and hotel.

Wow! Just coming home from an absolutely incredible stay at Melia Llana and already dreaming of returning! From the moment we arrived, the amazing staff made us feel like royalty - their warmth and attentiveness shone through in every interaction. The buffet restaurant was simply superb, and in many ways better than the a la carte restaurants (definitely the Indian Sahel - the head chef needs to go to India to learn how to spice it up a bit!!l . The phenomenal location, with four other stunning five-star resorts nearby, truly makes this a prime spot. Trust me, going VIP is an absolute must - having access to all the restaurants elevated our experience to another level! The resort itself is beautiful, a true oasis of tranquillity and style. We have to give a special shout out to the wonderful team who made our days extra special: Danisio, Caterina, Juvan, and the master of cocktails himself, Luis, down at the Llana Level bar - his creations were divine! But the biggest shout out of all goes to Wagner, the head of VIP. He was awesome from the moment we booked, offering incredible support and ensuring everything was perfect even before we arrived. During our stay, he continued to be a star, checking in on us every day to make sure we had everything we needed. His dedication truly made our trip unforgettable. Finally, if you love Italian food, Signori Sassi is an absolute must-try! Without a doubt, it's the best Italian on the whole estate. This was a truly five-star experience from start to finish. We can't recommend Melia Llana highly enough and are already planning our return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
