We had our wedding banquet held at Orchard Hotel and Shawn, our coordinator assisted throughout the journey. There were some details which we found incorrect but he was very willing to make amendments. The banquet went smoothly and staff were very helpful with our needs even when it was last-minute. We are really appreciative of the team given how tight our schedule was being a weekend lunch. Rooms were smaller than other bridal suites we have been to, but after the banquet being fatigued, we don't really need a bigger room. Breakfast was simply awesome!

Spacious nicely decorated room and lobby area. Upscale area near MTR (Orchard). Lovely pool area. Didn’t breakfast here due to our logistical arrangements but would happily stay here again.

**Disappointing Experience at Orchard Hotel - Not Worth the 4-Star Claim**
I recently stayed at the Orchard Hotel with my family for 6 nights, and the experience was far from what we expected from a so-called 5-star establishment.
1. **Terrible Arrival Experience:** We reached the hotel around 7 pm, with an infant in my arms and four trolleys for our family. There was a man in a coat at the entrance who merely pointed towards the reception using his hands, directing us to a ramp. Not a single person offered to help with our luggage or welcome us. We had to take the trolleys ourselves from our vehicle to the check-in counter. This lack of hospitality was shocking.
2. **Frustrating Check-In Process:** The check-in process was another nightmare. Their self-service kiosk wasn’t working, forcing us to stand in a long queue. After a tiring journey, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with.
3. **Mediocre Food Quality:** The food served here is average at best, definitely not up to 5-star standards. To make matters worse, one of the chutneys was spoiled, clearly indicating it wasn't fresh. This was a huge letdown, especially considering the price we paid for the stay.
4. **Rude and Unhelpful Staff:** The behavior of the staff was disappointing. They were far from the courteous and professional demeanor one would expect at a hotel of this caliber. A bit of politeness and a welcoming attitude would have gone a long way, but sadly, it was missing.
5. **Poor Air Conditioning:** The air conditioning in our room was terrible. Despite calling them at midnight due to the unbearable heat, the technician who came over simply cleaned the filter. Even after that, the room remained uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to get a good night’s rest throughout our stay.
6. **Not Worth the Money:** For the amount we paid, the entire experience felt far below expectations. The service, amenities, and overall atmosphere did not justify the cost in any way.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend Orchard Hotel to anyone looking for a genuine 4-star stay. Save your money and choose a place that values its guests.

Check in and out was slow (I didn’t use the kiosk because I had to get the invoice from the front desk). I arrived at 2pm on 23 Oct and the front desk told me they couldn’t let me check in to my queen bed room early and he offered another option which was to change it to a twin room. I refused and he told me to come back between 3pm - 3.30pm to check in. I asked whether he could take my number and call me whenever the room was ready but he said no they don’t reach out to guests via call, I need to come back and check myself. And he said he couldn’t promise the room would be ready at 3pm, might be ready slightly late which is 3.30pm.
Couldn’t check in early was fair, but to wait until 3pm and the guest have to come back to check on the status AND no promise it could be done on time was not.
Finally 3.30pm, checked in, went up to the room, taadaa a twin room still, but I booked queen! Had to come all the way down again, told them there might be some misunderstandings. Didn’t bother to give me an explanation, straight away changed my room to a queen, fair. I was still holding back and be polite at this point. Went back to the twin room to get my luggages, the room was locked already. Had to come back down again (I almost lost it here), apparently they disabled my card before I took my stuff out. Had to get somebody to go up with me, unlock the room, COME DOWN AGAIN to get the new room card…
Started all the dramas at 3.30pm, finally got to lie in the bed at 4.30pm.
