I was very excited to return to Barbados after a wonderful time in the summer. I went to stay at the Coconut Court and had the most amazing time and was excited to receive the same warm Caribbean welcome. However, this time was not great.
Pro:
The hotel is on one of the best beaches in Barbados. Next to downtown (30 min walk) and near the busses.
Cons:
Hotel is really dated and falling apart. There are chunks out of the side of the building and floor boards in the stairs falling apart.
Very pricey for what you get. Almost $550 CAD regular room rate in March, 2025 when you have options like all inclusive for around $800.
Service was very poor all around. Bartenders did not want to serve you drinks, out of half the things on the menu and front desk staff was the rudest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world.
Upon questioning a tax charge that I was not made aware of upon check in, she got very angry and did not explain it well and started to raise her voice.
Overall, if you can get a cheap rate, it would be a decent place to simply sleep. Do not expect a resort or resort style experience at this place.

Absolutley loved our stay. Everyone was very friendly and always helpful. Room was clean. Restaurant was amazing and a wonderful view, and we especially loved our server Britney. She always took time to give our daughter special attention and went out of her way to make conversation with her. We will definitely be back.

There is a little decay in the building, which is unfortunate. That is a “Radisson the corporation” issue, and shame on them for being so lax. Everything else gets 7 out of 5 stars for us. The people were beyond wonderful. The service was top notch. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We will absolutely be going back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Radisson in Barbados! While we initially had a mix-up with our room (due to our tour operator, not the hotel), the receptionist was absolutely amazing in sorting it out. The next day, we were moved to an incredible room with a full, unobstructed view of the sea, beach, and pool area—definitely worth the switch, as our first room also overlooked a construction site, which wasn't as appealing.
The real highlight of our stay was the wonderful staff. Shane, the poolman, was absolutely fantastic! His smile is infectious, and he made us feel so welcome, always going out of his way to help everyone on the beach. We also loved the bartender, Adam, who was so friendly and welcoming. He and my partner had a great time bonding over British football—his knowledge was seriously impressive!
The restaurant was decent, though service could be quite slow, especially at dinner. The staff were kind but seemed overwhelmed. Personally, I found the lunch menu better than dinner, so I’d recommend it more for midday meals. If you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be the best option, but the food itself was good.
The hotel itself does feel quite rundown and could use some serious renovations, especially on the exterior. The pier that extends into the water looks damaged—likely from a past hurricane—and really needs repair. From the beach, the hotel doesn’t look as appealing, which is a shame because the location is absolutely perfect!
One thing we really appreciated was the checkout experience. Since we had a late flight, the staff kindly provided a room for us to shower and freshen up after spending the day on the beach, which was a lovely touch. The bell boys were brilliant and super helpful as well.
Overall, we definitely recommend staying here—especially for the amazing staff, perfect beachfront location, and welcoming atmosphere. Just wish it had a bit of a facelift! We’d definitely return.

The good: The location, right in front of the beautiful beach. The food of the restaurant was good, although expensive. Offering chairs and towels for the beach, and the place was safe.
Not so good: The staff was very rude, especially at front desk (except for those who worked at the restaurant). The rooms are not at all as shown in the pics. It is not a 4 star hotel, maybe it was years ago, but no anymore. It is a place to stay of you are in Barbados for work, but would not recommend it for vacation.
