The sandy beach, blue sea and view are incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Rooms adequate, some areas of the hotel are clearly looking dated. The very end of the pier is run down and not longer accessible but you have a water view from the pier restaurant while eating. Small pool area. Fitness area. Could use a ping pong table or similar. Overall a great affordable holiday.

The evaluation is based on what you get for the (high) price. The hotel belongs to Radisson and charges upscale rates for rooms and breakfast. However, the premises look pretty old and are in urgent need of some TLC. Of course, the location directly on the beach is great, staff was friendly and it's not their fault that the owner let the hotel rot. For a Radisson, I would expect much more. The pool is also really small as is the beach strip that has been allocated to hotel guests (technically, all beaches in Barbados are public). Breakfast is not much but also comes at a premium. Overall, I would recommend to stay at other higher end chains close by until the hotel is refurbished from the ground.

Great location for the beach. Very easy safe access.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Generally a tired hotel. Definitely 3star rating only.
Spacious clean rooms. Lack some basics like mobile phone usb. Needs an upgrade.
Nice outdoor restaurant. A little pricey but top notch food.
Small outdoor pool but the beach makes this insignificant.
Did b&b basis. Breakfast is good. Upgrade to half-board is expensive. Better to eat dinner locally or individually in the restaurant.
Wouldn't say no to returning.

This hotel is ALL about the location!!! It’s situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados in Carlisle Bay - white sand and turquoise waters. And it’s a long beach - you can walk all the way into Bridgetown (about a half hour walk).
Our room was very comfortable and a good size, with beautiful views. We were in Room 304 which overlooked the pool and beach. The staff were also wonderful - very friendly, responsive and helpful.
One of the coolest experiences was with the race horses from the nearby Barbados Turf Club. The handlers and groomers brought them down to the beach right in front of the hotel every morning to play in the surf. Such majestic animals!
However, this is not a luxury hotel. It is 3 star (I think) and somewhat basic. The hotel could use a refresh, as it is starting to show some wear. But we didn't mind because we were so happy with our stay, overall. We would DEFINITELY come back to this hotel.
NOTE: nearby restaurants and cafes that we recommend are Bali Beach Club, Sage Bistro, Blush, and George Washington Cafe. Also don’t miss the Agapay Chocolate Factory in Bridgetown for the BEST ice cream.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We had a warm welcome with a lovely rum punch. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel is quiet and the room and views were lovely. The breakfast was delicious. Absolutely loved the salt fish, green banana and beef hash. All the staff were friendly, from reception, to the cleaners, the guys on the beach and the waiting staff. They all made our stay special. It was within walking distance to Bridgetown, but if you didn't fancy the walk, there were constant buses all day and into the night which made getting around easy. Watching the horses every morning in the sea was very special and was the cherry on top of the cake for our trip. I'd definitely stay here again.
