Had a great week at The Crane Resort. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The resort was nice...we enjoyed time at the pool and at the beach. We also worked with the concierge to book some off resort activities.

We had such an awesome time lodged at the crane, we were welcomed with a cold glass of punch. Very comfortable room with great view, our room was cleaned everyday.
Staff: very friendly and always had a great smile
Restaurant: we only ate once at this hotel in our 7 day stay as we wanted to explore other options on the island. We had our anniversary dinner at Zen in one of the Thai boots. Zen had a great view of the ocean.
The only downside to this resort is that it’s atleast 20 minutes from where most of the action happens in Barbados. I would recommend getting a car if you plan to stay at this resort and explore the country.
Beach: lovely beach view, my wife would go watch the sunrise most mornings and she loved it. The only issue is with the seaweeds. They were always there. The crane management could benefit from netting out the seaweed before it gets to the shore.
Overall it was a great experience staying here

What a place to have lunch!! My sister, aunty and I came to the crane for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was perfect (a little rain) the service when we arrived was amazing. We were shown to a table with in moments of us arriving. Our servers were very accommodating. Anything we needed it was provided.
The views from our table were just beautiful.
The food was very nice and enjoyable. The drinks too. The whole resort was clean and a really nice vibe.
We went for a walk after lunch and again, just a lovely space.
We will definitely will be back.

We arrived on a Saturday and by Monday realized that our room was located immediately adjacent to a building that is under construction. We have been disturbed by extremely loud construction activity from 8:30/9 am to 5:30/6 pm each day starting on Monday. The noise became unbearable by Tuesday and that is when we contacted management. They offered to move us rooms and we stupidly rejected this idea, primarily because we were already half way thru our vacation and felt my 73 y/o mom and two young children wouldn’t want to get repacked and move.
In the end, I question the integrity of a hotel that would place guests in such an environment on an undisclosed basis and after accepting a significant non-refundable deposit. And why are we here when other rooms are available?
The 3-bedroom residence that we are in is spacious and comfortable but the cheap construction and appliances are evident. Clothes washer also broken.
This hotel sits on a remarkable property and the natural beauty is evident. It’s too bad that we have had to deal with this situation. I don’t post reviews regularly but doing so now so that others may see and confirm with management that they won’t be in a similar situation before booking.

The beach is beautiful to look at. Swimming is rough, waves and undertow make it difficult to enjoy. Seaweed everywhere in the water. The west side of the island has calm waters. The food at the hotel was not good. Overpriced restaurants for mediocre food. Lots of pools but zero hot tubs for some strange reason. The room had a private pool which was great.
