Don't make my mistake: read the comments. The pictures are .....misleading. The hotel might have looked like this when it saw better days. There are so many unnecessary rules for a vacation stay. (Return the pool towels at check out. You'll save so much time and thank me later). As per their website, they have numerous restaurants and bars. In reality, 1 of each. Other so-called restaurants are being rented for events: graduation, birthdays, and weddings. So, walking around the elegant looking crowd while in flip flops and a towel is normal. Plenty of people working there, but the only person paying attention to you at the reception would be Rachel. The same goes for breakfast: when you enter the breakfast hall there will be at least 5 people on the front desk, and no one will tell you where to sit or the difference between "continnental" breakfast and the full one. Trust me, there is a difference, learned hard way, thinking that our breakfast was included. Not a big deal in terms of money, but it's a good thing to let people know before they enter the facility. The food is delicious, though, and the waiter was extremely polite and nice. Rooms, well, there are plenty of other comments about them. The management really struggles to keep up. The great thing about the hotel is the beach. Beautiful views with clear water, tiny little crabs - amazing. But again, the hotel has so much stuff, but I didn't see at least one person who would try to clean it from trash. To sum up: it might have been my expectation that didn't meet the reality. And if you are like me who is looking for everything to be in one place, so you don't have to worry about anything - keep searching. However, if all you need is a beautiful beach, shower, and bed, then that might be the place. P.s. if the hotel "fun" is too much, there is an amazing tiki bar at the end of the beach.

The location is great, rooms are clean, the lobby seems to be the happening spot with great music and ambience. It's a great welcoming entrance. Some things need updating in the room, they need lamps because either you get pure brightness with the lights on or pure darkness when you turn off with one switch. The pools need major work, it's dated, dirty and looked closed at night. They had no lighting and the swim up bar look closed all day but apparently they open till about 3 or 4 p.m?? Why so early?? The pool should usually be the happening spot in hotels like this. But it had no ambience, no music playing, no lighting and the waterfall wasn't working. The whole time I was there I thought the restaurant they had was closed because they weren't lit inside. I don't understand why they had the lights off in the restaurant. The welcoming staff should have let us know that they have a different Cuisine every night at the restaurant. Luckily they had a slew of restaurants across the street. I see that they're doing some sort of Renovations so hopefully the pool will be next.

What a great experience. We had nice room clean great maid service. Very friendly staff we loved Cheryl our breakfast waitress was friendly. Our pool bartender Jerry was a terrific guy. Loved the access to market, shopping and restaurants. Boardwalk right down the beach was wonderful

Great view pity about the pseudo front of house manager. $50 fine for not returning a towel card. You should at least tell people when they first book in. Not happy with your attitude Nicole. You should remember that it is people like us that actually pay your wage

I checked into the Accra Hotel on Monday, September 22nd, around 11:30 PM, and was greeted by a front desk agent who mentioned it was her first night working alone. This clearly contributed to an exasperatingly slow check-in process. After finally settling into my room, I was utterly drained from traveling all night, only to discover a puddle on the floor. I immediately contacted the front desk, where I was assured that they would locate a suitable room for me while investigating the source of the leak. I ended up waiting an hour to be relocated. Unfortunately, the next room was hardly an improvement—the phone didn’t work, and the closet floor was littered with grime. The following morning, I was promised a better room by the time I returned from work. However, when I arrived that afternoon, the young man at the front desk assured me I had been upgraded and insisted I would love my new accommodations. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a musty odor, indicating it had been unoccupied for some time. He attempted to turn on the air conditioning and then left. After 30 frustrating minutes with the air conditioning failing to cool the room in the stifling heat of Barbados, I called the front desk for assistance. They assured me someone would come to address the issue. A maintenance worker arrived but merely glanced at the unit before stating he would return shortly. Instead, I received a call from the front desk informing me that the air conditioning was broken and they could provide a fan until morning, citing ongoing renovations as the reason for their limited options. By this point, I was operating on just four hours of sleep and desperately needed a warm shower before bed. Unfortunately, after running the water for 10 minutes, I discovered there was no hot water. At that moment, I felt utterly defeated. I called the front desk again and was told they would investigate and get back to me. Another staff member attempted to test the water, promising to return. After an agonizing wait, I was left with no choice but to take a cold shower before collapsing into bed. The next morning, clinging to a sliver of hope, I anticipated that hot water would finally be restored. To my utter dismay, it was still cold. Frustration boiling over, I requested to speak with a manager about checking out and finding alternative accommodations for the remaining six nights of my stay. I also communicated my expectation for appropriate compensation for the distressing ordeal I’d endured. She indicated she would need to consult with her manager. Later, when I spoke with the Assistant Manager, I was offered a mere 20% discount for the restless nights I suffered and a refund for the remaining six nights. Naturally, I found this offer unacceptable given the multitude of issues I faced. I urged him to reconsider, but ultimately, I received a message that the offer would remain unchanged at 20%. I am appalled by this treatment and firmly believe the hotel requires a complete shutdown and renovation. The hallways reek of mold, and my experience was marred by rooms left with their doors ajar, presenting a troubling sight. Perhaps the hotel is struggling financially because any establishment with a semblance of quality would have offered appropriate compensation without me having to ask or demand it. I will never return to this hotel, and if you are considering staying there, be prepared for all the issues I encountered.... It's not about the money it's the principle
