The best thing about this hotel is the location. I used to come every year before the pandemic. I was so excited to come here but I am disappointed. The jacuzzi in my oceanfront room is out of order. The place looks run down. The swim up bar is closed. The staff are so unfriendly with the exception of a few. It almost feels like a ghost town. It’s absolutely boring at night. There is nothing to do here. The rooms are still dated. I do love that it is right on the ocean, which is stunning. The food is also good and there are kiosks near the hotel and some restaurants along the boardwalk. The location is great but this hotel has gone down. The staff used to welcome you with a rum punch while you checked in… it felt so welcoming. Now they give you a ticket to get your free drink at the bar. Out of 3 bars, only one is open. I’m now searching for a new hotel to go to in the future. I have another 4 nights here. Hopefully, i will enjoy the remainder of my trip. Managers and staff need to step up before it’s too late. I have an emotional connection to this place. I fell in love with Barbados here, but I think it’s time for a change.

2025-01-13 – Accra Hotel Review
DO NOT STAY at this MOULD INFESTED hotel..! Upon entering our room, [210], December 13th, 2024 we immediately smelt the stench of mould, it was strong. Opening the air conditioner front cover we found it and filters covered with black mould.
We refused the room, spoke with the day manager Justin and showed him the issue, he agreed this was unsafe and moved us to room # 312. [The 2nd floor was undergoing a serious vacuum operation sucking up water from the hallway, perhaps a water leak.]
The air conditioning unit in 312 also had some signs of black mould inside but the room was cleaner and had fresh air.
He compensated us for the inconvenience with dinner; the buffet was poor and almost nothing in the bins. The breakfast buffet was horrible, nothing much to eat.
Once we returned home in January we find on our visa bill we have been charged for BOTH rooms, [210 & 312], which we are now trying to have corrected.
DO NOT STAY at this hotel, it is a total disappointment and the black mould is a serious health hazard.

I always have a relaxing time at this perfectly located resort. It is close to many bars and restaurants and also Quayside mall. I would like to mention the staff who always welcome and take care of me during my stay, such as Sylvester, Torian Joshua Mitchell Crystal Cheryl Shaq Jonathan Fabian Kevon Annette and Rachel. It may have a few quirks but just ask the many returning guests why they continue to return. The manager Suresh takes special care of the guests and is always willing to go the extra mile. You'll never walk alone here.

The staff around the bars and restaurants act like they are being inconvenienced when asked for something. I actually saw one at the beach bar get into a shouting match with a tourist. Most don't smile. Heard a few tell how much they hated their jobs. I think they forgot they work in the service industry. I was sitting at the bar one night and a hotel guest got fant and passed out. Once I saw that the employees did not pay him any attention. I am a nurse and jumped in to help. They state that they are not aloud to touch and Joseph stated that no one was cpr or AED competent. All I could say was wow. The hotel is so convenient for us. I was married at this resort, but service has gone way down hill. I have had to beg for blankets, room bath towels and even toilet paper.
