My husband and I were there on vacation about a week ago. We stayed in a swim up suite with butler service. what can I say?? It was one of the best vacations we have had! The sandals air port staff that helped us were so funny and caring! Ricardo our driver was so informative of the island and let us know all the hot spots off resort. We never did leave the resort though. when we arrived the butlers were waiting for us! They Brought us in to complete the smoothest check in ever. We were lucky enough to have 3 amazing butlers during our stay. Madonna was the first butler we met. She made us feel so welcome. She brought us around the resort and set us up with lunch while our room was getting ready. she brought us one go her famous drinks! Oh My if you are lucky enough to have Madonna, please please get her special drink! Eric and Cedric were our other two butlers. Let me say, they are the best! They had special gifts brought to the room and also set it up with flowers for our anniversary! I will say my favorite part about the guys were all the laughs we had! They are truly gentleman! My husband could learn a few things from them! HaHa!! All other staff was so friendly and always went out of their way to say hello. The one and only down I had was the bed. Was not very comfortable. Food was great and I'm already missing heading up to the pink food truck and getting my Caribbean coffee! We will totally be back!

My husband and I enjoyed a trip to Sandals Royal Bahamian in the Butler Elite room category. This resort is absolutely beautiful. Everything is clean and well maintained. The beaches are gorgeous - particularly at the private island. The private island was definitely the highlight of the trip! The beach is pristine, the atmosphere quiet and serene, snorkeling was great and the spa was wonderful. McQueen & Peggy were fantastic for our couples massage! Our butler service was really great! Our butler phone service wasn’t working one day (we didn’t realize it for several hours because we were at the island - on which butler service does not follow you), and all of the staff were very helpful in getting it fixed. One of our butlers, Junior, in particular went out of his way to take extra care of us. All of the staff we interacted with was so friendly, including our private transfer driver, Ricardo, when we were leaving. This was our first Sandals trip, and we already booked another trip before leaving. We loved the Bahamas and can’t wait to go back!

Sandals Bahamas was fantastic the Butler service was fantastic our “Asian Mafia” as they named themselves were excellent. The food was very nice have dinner early like 5:30 so you don’t have to wait. Beach was beautiful and service 5 Star.
Our Driver from Sandals to the Airport Ricky Ricardo was fantastic as well very friendly and attentive telling us the history of Bahamas.

This is a great adults only all inclusive resort. The food at all the restaurants on site is great, except the kimono (hibachi) restaurant- below average. The 2 food trucks which are open till 11pm are a great addition and offer really nice food options. The 2 pools are very clean and big and have hot tubs as well. The activities planned everyday are just about right, not too much and not too less. Volleyball games were the best part of the day, lots of people joined in along with some of the staff who were very sweet and great to have a game with. There’s table tennis, billiards, chess, karaoke and more. Another great thing is the accessibility to the beach. Hardly 30-40 metres from the resort, and you can come back and jump right into the pool again. The rooms are big, spacious, clean, and modern. I stayed in the east bay tower.

Overall: Just Okay
We spent a week at this resort for our honeymoon, opting for a room with a private pool and butler service. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations for $15,000.
Room: Disappointing Design and Lack of Privacy
While the room itself was nice, it fell short of providing the private, serene environment we anticipated. Our bedroom was situated next to the stairs leading to other suites and adjacent to two other suite doors. This proximity meant we could hear every entry, exit, and conversation in the hallways. Despite using a sound machine every night, we were woken up multiple times—a far cry from the "private villa" experience advertised.
The outdoor amenities were also disappointing. The tub lacked privacy curtains, and the pool area felt exposed. Guests in the nearby public pool had a direct view into our "courtyard" and glass doors, making it impossible to relax. We didn’t use the tub or the pool even once—partly due to the lack of privacy and partly because the private pool was freezing cold, colder than the main pools or the ocean. Another guest mentioned the pools were supposed to be heated, but that wasn’t the case for ours. The situation was further compounded by fully shaded poolside chairs, which made lounging impossible.
At one point, the water in our villa completely shut off. I was mid-shower when the pressure dropped to a trickle and then stopped altogether. While we were told maintenance was addressing the issue, the water didn’t return until later in the evening. We also heard other guests complaining about similar issues in larger buildings the day prior, which was disappointing given the premium price of the villa.
Service varied widely across the resort. On one night, it took over an hour to receive our entrees, and on another, more than an hour just to place our order. The butlers were attentive and helpful, but their assistance was limited to seating us and delivering the initial cocktails. Beyond that, we were subject to the inconsistencies of the general service.
The massages were excellent, but the experience was dampened by a venue change due to weather. Instead of the tranquil island setting we had envisioned, our treatments were relocated to the main day spa, where traffic noise from outside disrupted the ambiance.
The island itself is a beautiful location, but bar service was disappointing. Drink orders were not taken on the beach, leaving us to fetch drinks ourselves. Even with butler service at the main island pools, their visits to the pool were infrequent—once a day at most.
Final Thoughts
The butlers were the highlight of our trip and the primary reason we would describe our experience as “okay” rather than “poor.” However, they couldn’t compensate for the lack of privacy, average food and drinks, and inconsistent service.
If you’re looking for a 3-star all-inclusive experience, this resort might meet your needs. However, if you expect a 4- or 5-star luxury experience, this is not the place. We’ll be exploring smaller resorts in the future, hoping for a more personalized and high-quality experience.
