We can warmly recommend this hotel. We were welcomed very kindly, and the hotel has a beautiful lobby with a cozy seating area and even a fireplace :). One of the reception staff even heated up a meal from the market for me in the microwave. As for the room, yes, it has gotten a bit older, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The placement of the fridge right next to the bed was well intended but too loud. The bathroom, well, it served its purpose. The location is great, very close to Union Square where the Big Bus and the cable car depart. From there you can get everywhere easily. Also Chinatown is nearby, and if you’re motivated, you can even walk to Little Italy, but that’s about a 20-minute walk. The location is perfect and much better than staying at Fisherman’s Wharf where you simply overpay for the room. We will definitely come back.

The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. The woman that checked us in was very warm and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. Inside there's an Italian restaurant with a bar which is nice. For anyone visiting for the first time, I was a bit taken aback by the state of the neighborhood we stayed in and would probably avoid staying here if I were to visit again. That is not the fault of the hotel of course and only bring it up as a precaution. The parking situation felt sketchy to us so we decided to use valet which is $75 for a smaller vehicle and $85 for larger. Valet was really easy and quick! Worth the cost. Overall this place is a nice choice if you need to be in the area

The hotel itself is very nice very clean and comfortable rooms. Beautiful reception area and lounge. The staff are friendly and helpful if needed. The self filling ice cool water bottle in the room is great and will needed after spending the day out walking. I have dinner the first night in tge hotel room was nice but expensive for what I got. No coffee making facility in the room but you can get a free coffee in the restaurant between 07.00 to 10.00 but outside those time your looking at nearly $8.00 a coffee. It about a 30 minute walk to Peir 39 and 15 minute to the city centre. If you go off walking in the evening/night be careful as some roads near the hotel has a lot of homeless people on the streets. In general a nice friendly clean hotel.

I love this hotel. It is in the middle of San Francisco and it feels like a fairytale. The employees were all very friendly and nice. The room was spacious and very clean. The only minus would be the shower. It was not much warm water in the morning and the bathroom y cold. Luckily I used the hairdryer so I didn’t get a cold. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cozy. We also got 2 water bottles in a very nice design in steel, I think. I would definitely come back. They have a detective dinner here as well, but we didn’t stay here long enough to join it. Seems very funny.

I was honestly a bit worried given it is located adjacent to the infamous Tenderloin district, but to my pleasant surprise, the hotel is very clean, well appointed with friendly staff. Though slightly dated, with no frills, the rooms are immaculately clean, making it clear there is a high standard of service and while small, the gym is serviceable. While you do not want to make a left coming out of the hotel, I did not ever feel unsafe the 3 nights I stayed for business and all at a very reasonable rate. Would return.
