Aspiverance

Rm500 per night, sea view room, hotel located in city centre, easy to access but traffic can be heavy at times. Free parking as expected, hotel service was warm, even provided baby cot for free. Though, hotel looks a bit rundown from the outside, but the interior was fine.

My last visit was 3 years ago. Its always nice to be back to the hotel. The service is tip top. The front desk were efficient, friendly, warm welcoming with cookies for elite members. Within minutes checking in, The manager greeted me at my room with welcoming drinks voucher at rooftop. That's such a kind gesture. This is customer service. A small thing that gave a big impact on the experience. Room has good sound proofing. Won't hear much noise from the road. I don't even realise it was heavy rain outside till I saw it. My stay was calm and relaxing, which I need. It was a short stay but I love it. Hope to come back again soon!

We stayed in a couple of hotels in this city and found this hotel was the best one. We had a lovely evening on the rooftop bar with live music. We enjoyed the club lounge and they made every effort to accommodate my gluten free diet. After a long day with airport delays we were grateful for the speedy service at check in. Views over the market and onto the harbour were beautiful.

Best service ever. We booked a club room and asked for a bouquet of flowers for my parents' wedding anniversary. They decorated it beautifully. Check-in was smooth in the club room. There was a slight problem with the extra bed, but they changed it right away. I would definitely visit again if I visit kk. Cons: The pool smells like fish from the Filipino market.

Check-in was fast and smooth. The room is spacious, especially the toilet. I love the concept in the room. The bed is super comfy. I noticed a slight change in the breakfast buffet spread on the days of our stay, which is good for those who stay for a longer period. Truly, I highly recommend this hotel.

Do not go here. I do not understand how this "resort" has 5 stars. The website looks like a beautiful and happening resort with plenty of amenities. We arrived and it was a ghost town there we saw maybe 10 to 15 other guests. Only 2 restaurants or bars were open and then the Cafe. The pool was roped off around 7. We paid extra for the "club" that we had access to until 9pm. Or so we thought. They closed 3 hours early with no notice on the door. Then there was the room. I've stayed in 35$ motels that were cleaner. Mold, scum on the shower (clearly has never been cleaned), accumulations of dust everywhere and drippings of God knows what on the walls. Our shower head was warped and shot water out at the ceiling. The manager did handle it professionally and worked with us. We received a refund for the rest of our stay and arranged other accommodations. We felt taken advantage of and lied to. Even if they could relocate us to an acceptable room it wouldn't matter because there was nothing to do there.

Recently had our wedding here. I have to say the events manager Vanessa had been very accommodating and helpful throughout the evening. She helped us out a lot and we are eternally grateful for all the things she has done for us. From settling our deco to sending the food over to the room, and also decorating the room for us. We love it so much! The hall was spacious and the carpets were soft, nice for sumazau and dancing haha! The rooms were very big and spacious. Love the vibes and the view was splendid. Only downside was it was raining the few days we were there. The big room had two bathrooms and two bathtubs. Good for big families to stay in. Another big shoutout to Eric, our server for the night. He made sure we had everything we need for the night and was super attentive. So props to you Eric. Keep up the good work! Last but not least shout out to Rita Lee. The food was amazing. Couldn't ask for a better dinner that night. Overall. We were very satisfied with the service and rooms here. Would recommend this place!

Location is superb, sunset view is beautiful. The beach runs forever and clean, water is clear and clean. But the fact is that rooms are in need of refurbishment. I read reviews and I think the non-premier rooms are the ones with issues. I agree that some investment is need to revive the hotel. Just do wing-by-wing. Breakfast staff works really hard during busy times and is the best staff in the hotel. Reception staff/system needs to be improved. Bell boy male staff (?name starts with L) is good, taking a group check-in to another side. This hotel has potential to relive back its glory years. 12-14 Aug 8117.

Thanks to Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai for giving us a perfect experience and unforgettable memories. This hotel is really great and has the highest cost performance among five-star hotels. The hotel is also very large. The only drawback is that it is too far from the urban area. Special thanks to Vanessa from the wedding center. She not only upgraded our room but also arranged a great view for us. The weather in Kota Kinabalu was not very good during the few days. In order not to leave us with any regrets, Vanessa tried her best to help me complete the proposal on the lawn. She also prepared a romantic candlelight dinner and surprises in the room. Thank you, Vanessa. We hope we still have the opportunity to come back and celebrate our anniversary ;)

Rooms are o.k. but should be better maintained as humidity shows effects to walls and paint. Same for banisters. That’s only small things but they will get worse if they don’t get maintained. Electric items didn’t work properly. The light control panel was off duty, the air con fan couldn’t be operated. Staff is very kind and helpful, breakfast offers a comprehensive variety.
