Just got home from a week in akti imperial. Which overall was an ok stay. We had a bit of trouble at the start as we paid for a front sea view only to find we was on the back of the hotel with a sea view if you lean over the balcony and looked right .when we went back to reception they said it because they upgraded us to a bigger room. Strangely they didn't tell us this when we checked in. When we argued this they said we will have to wait until after midday tomorrow before they can get us a viewing of othe room we paid for. When we finally got to see the room we was meant to have it was in fact a tiny box room with a front sea view so we did opt stay in the original room at the back that was bigger . The hotel was always kept clean and tidy , most bar staff were miserable and struggled to get a Smile from them(most likely the way they get spoke to tho) but the restaurant staff were a bit more happier. The evening entertainment was ok . There was a few things as to why I can't give a 5 star review tho,The pool was so cold that it was barely used by anyone staying in the hotel , so not what you want when paying all this money in a hot country . NO SUN BED reserving is meant to be a hotel policy that the hotel clearly doesn't bother to keep an eye on. Every day herds of people ran down first thing to put there towels out then they don't appear for another 4 hours after ,If you wanted a lay in then breakfast before heading to the pool then you won't get enough beds for your family together. You You can not go to the toilet in private , The hotel only has frosted glass doors with a half inch gap the whole way round and to top it off, the fun part is trying to find one with a lock on. altho you couldn't see through the glass you can clearly see a figure sat on the toilet. The food was ok but didn't vary much day to day. There wasn't much for fussy children mine literally ate Margherita pizza for 7 days. The towel exchange was good if you got there before 11am otherwise the lady there got a bit moody (no one said there was a time limit). Some days there were no towels because the bed savers double up, they keep there old towel so that can save the bed in the morning and also get a fresh towel on there way to the pool. The guy from the spa will hound you , he waits outside the restaurant at breakfast time . And then he does laps around the pool area , after that he will head to the beach and catch you there. everyday this happens like clockwork which becomes a bit of a drain

Nice Hotels. Nothing extra special. no ultra Spa not free very small for such an enormous complex. Food large variety. However nothing . Hungry eat. no big deal. Bar low quality drinks. lack knowledge in cocktails. Staff bar and the the service around bar and coffee spot. are amazing. hard working smiling and giving.eame the food hall. service great. the food hall managers are Cocky. Good for kids. nice beach and attachment to hotel. 3.5 on my scale.

Hotel is definitely not 5 stars, more like 2/3 maximum. Every where is dirty from the rooms to the pools, you can see cleaning staff and room attendants but I think they just look at the rubbish and dirt and then walk off. The food seemed ok on the first day but then it is just copy and paste each day and the little mini snack bars are the same. Had food poisoning from the main restaurant think I could narrow it down to the eggs definite health and safety issue at this hotel! Everything is so outdated and falling apart the hotel lobby has a very weird vibe the best way that I can describe it as being in an airport waiting area. The staff are rude to be honest I probably would be too if I had to work here… also the safe was locked when we arrived and it took several attempts to front desk to get this unlocked as they need us to be in the room to unlock the safe? Even though it was locked on arrival, I don’t understand why they don’t trust their maintenance staff to be in your room un attended but the cleaners and bar staff can have free roam and trust me they come in when you have do not disturb on the door too. Phone doesn’t work to phone reception. The lift situation is ridiculous who ever implemented that must hate people, there are numerous lifts depending on what floor you have to go to be prepared for 5 minute wait to get down one floor, if you want to use the stairs think again non available… unless you use the staff only entrance which we had to on a few occasions as the lift was over 5 minutes to get from floor 2 to 0…. The spa staff are relentless and will be doing there rounds every day around the pool and beach to get you into that spa (prices are very high) they are very pushy, I can’t comment on the treatments as we never had any though. The only redeeming factor for this hotel is the location as the travel is not far from the old town and there are a few restaurants outside the hotel to the right and left which I recommend you use instead of the hotel. Having stayed in two other hotels in Rhodes which were definitely 5 stars this one is a shambles I would not return and highly UN recommend at all costs. If you want a nice hotel in Rhodes stay at the princess andriana or TUI blue Atlantica dreams also the beach could be mistaken for a warzone be careful as the wooden beams are all broken.

The hotel was nice. Great food and decent service. Our only complaint was the spa. It was quite dirty and smell of mold. There were plenty of people working there but they just weren't doing their job and keeping the spa clean. They were much more interested in recruiting people for massage. The Hamam and Steam room were often not working and there was mold in the Hamam. I have attached screenshots. This is not something you should expect from a resort like this. They must do better!

Lovely hotel, staff friendly, food delicious and lots of choices. Pool is huge and lots of sun loungers, very close to the beach, perfect for a sunrise / sunset swim. Room comfortable and clean. Found the weather in October just a pleasant heat. Would definitely come back!
