Overall, it is a good hotel, which is very nicely furnished and also looks good. If you take a closer look, there were some visual defects here and there that should be repaired. The staff in the restaurants were super friendly, unfortunately the staff in the bars were not always friendly. In general, I found the selection of non-alcoholic drinks at the bar a bit boring and not good. The juice tasted terrible, very artificial. The room with swim up pool was nice, the sea view breathtaking but unfortunately the pool is very cold. We only went in once because the pool was far too cold. The a la carte restaurants are quite nice, we were allowed to go four times in 10 days. We were in two different restaurants. Two visits were very good, two rather disappointing. Not all dishes are well prepared. Overall, the all-inclusive concept is very cool, you can eat and get drinks at any time, which is great, especially with children. The hotel is very child-friendly, which is great. Unfortunately, the water playground for children was also very cold. But otherwise the activities for children were cool.

Had a fab week at Helena, first time to Greece. Beautiful resort with stunning trees and plants. Friendly warm staff. Normally head to the Canaries in October but as they are anti tourist now decided to try Rhodes. They don’t have a problem with tourists and welcome you with open arms. The rooms were a tad tight for 3 but it was too expensive to upgrade. The balcony sea view was stunning! The reservation of pool sun beds was a bit of an issue and we witnessed a few disputes so used the beach instead. The hotel was very busy at times and the staff were a bit stretched on occasion. The onsite water park was a big hit!! 15-20 minute taxi ride to old town so taxi fares can rack up. Old town is worth a visit!

Great hotel. The staff were so friendly and engaged in general conversation. Special mention to Alex at the front desk, he so helpful with the getting us checked in. Mary in the restaurant was awesome, kind and attentive. Facilities are awesome, pool, beach and lots of restaurants. Room was amazing, had a suite with was so spacious and had a great balcony for the morning sun. Fab hotel and highly recommended!

What a wonderful week we had staying at the Helea. We had visited Rhodes previously but staying at the Helea certainly enhanced our holiday. The hotel is stunning, several levels of excellent facilities. The reception area is classy with a few boutiques where u cab buy jewelery and pool essentials. On the same level there is a bar area and outside seating with lovely views of the sea and sunset on a night. Go down to the R level and the buffet restaurant serves a variety of excellently prepared food with a different main dish daily from lamb, duck to fish. The choice and quality is outstanding. The pool area is large however with a pool that size, it takes quite a bit to warm it. There is then a level down with a number of infinity pools which is located next to the street food hub serving drinks, crepes (amazing) doughnuts and at lunch, sandwiches, burgers, dirty fries which are all really good. The final level is the beach and beach bar. A lovely clean beach with shale/sand and clear waters. The sun beds are plentiful and cleaned each day. The beach bar serves hot and alcoholic drinks and is lovely. There is entertainment in the form of beach bar parties on various nights also. Across from reception and the entrance there is a water park of slides which is great for kids. Overall what more could you ask for from a hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful and in a brilliant location, I just feel that with more resource the service could elevate this hotel to be spectacular. Little things like struggling to book in the a la carte restaurants (despite booking the moment we arrived), the hospitality could improve, the food selection at the buffet being pretty limited and the pools being warmer (though, I guess what did we expect from a holiday towards the back end of October). Personally if I didn't have children I wouldn't go back and would go for an adult only hotel. The hotel feels more like a 4* than 5* personally. I sound like I'm moaning, but it genuinely is a beautiful hotel and is just a few finishing touches away from being spectacular. The rooms were nice and spacious, we stayed in 5006, which opens out on to a massive pool shared by only a dozen or so rooms, and receives sunshine all day long. The waterpark was amazing for the children and they also really enjoyed the night time entertainment. The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the island, only a short drive to Rhodes town and about an hour or less to Lindos, so hiring a car is very recommended.
