A Very relaxing place to visit. I'd definitely return. The food, drink , staff and Location was Perfect I'd recommend the Adult only upgrade if you don't have any kids. It was a quieter part of the large complex.... 👍😎

Lovely room and great location. Friendly service, nice pools, generally excellent food, fresh and delicious, with a huge range to choose from.
Only criticisms are the constant background music, the poor service at the marina bar, and the waste of space sports bar, which could have been put to better use as, well, just about anything else.

We booked a deluxe bungalow with breakfast included but upon checking in we were told we’d been “upgraded” to a room in the lux area (I think that’s how the receptionist described it). The room was comfortable and in a quiet area close to the beach, pools and the breakfast restaurant - so these aspects were great.
However we found that whilst a lux room included free beach towels and towelling robes & slippers, it lacked something quite basic that we really like - an actual bathroom.
The sink for doing ablutions is in the room along with everything else (beds, sofa, table and chairs and mini kitchen). The shower does have a sliding door for modestly. The toilet also has the same. But a thin glass door with gaps either side does not provide privacy whilst you’re using the toilet! We are two old friends who know each other very well. But this spoilt our desperately needed chilled holiday….
So if you’re happy not to have a bathroom and happy with what I’d call ‘an ablutions area’, this lux room might be for you.
The hotel set-up feels like a village which we liked and for a few days break in the sunshine it was nice. I just don’t understand the lack of walls and door to create a bathroom though, it must be a cost issue (I’m kicking myself that I forgot to take a photo of the set up as it was quite bizarre.)
Other stuff: Staff friendly, breakfast plentiful with lots of choice (if rather busy due to the size of the place), pools hit n miss due to some being heated, some not (and the information we were given about which ones were supposed to be heated not appearing to be correct). We preferred being on the beach tbh as the poolside music was also not relaxing and really repetitive.
Lots to like but wouldn’t feel the need to return as have experienced better places at this price point.

This was my first Barcelo Hotel and I keep coming back. The location is fabulous, right on the beach, the pools are very pleasant, the rooms are great and the food varied and really nice. The staff is a joy, all will do all they can to make you feel special and sort out everything you need sorted. Always a great experience

An amazing all-inclusive holiday with 7 restaurants included (one of which was a beach front bar - not even on the complex) and various reduced price options to select from as well.
All bars provided an excellent choice of non alcoholic drinks, not just beer, with the Royal Level Adults only pool bar having gin, 2 martinis, and even aperol!
Vince, the excursion rep was VERY helpful and arranged a boat trip for us the day after we enquired about it. It included snorkelling, food, and drink, and we even saw dolphins.
Would highly recommend this to friends and come back again!
