Great location with beautiful city or river view! Close to the attractions of the city. Prompt service from staff upon request. The only downside is the mattress is too soft or old, cannot support the back. The staff tried to fix the problem though. The food of breakfast buffet is well presented but taste could be improved. The waitresses serve the customers nicely by cleaning the dishes fast and helping the seating.

A stylish, chic hotel with lovely staff. I was most impressed by the rooms, which had a modern but classical touch. The view of the music hall at night was beautiful. I also appreciated the water refill station on every floor — a sustainable alternative to the plastic water bottles which one finds in the hotel pantry these days.
My airport transfer was handled smoothly, and the hotel staff were very accommodating — I switched my timings back and forth a few times and they handled the changes with no complaints.
If there was a slight imperfection — and I'm nitpicking here — the breakfast area was a little small and I had trouble finding a table for myself; but the staff spotted me fairly quickly and seated me outside at the cafe, which I found a little less busy and a lot more conducive for dining alone.

I am now 6 year Caravelle royalty member. I enjoy meals with a friend and get deduction of 50% for dinners. Moreover, I get complimentary birthday cake and a bottle of wine on yearly basis. I am offered a complimentary signature room for 1 day stay there. Their service offers are really professional and great. Their location is much convenient to go around HCM city and enjoy the good time here.

I lucked out getting a front-facing room on the 21st floor with view of the opera house. Being an older hotel the window panes are not soundproof enough so could hear the loud music from weekend festivals on the boulevard in front of the opera house but it stops around 11pm so was ok.
Lobby and check-in area is not big but adequate and my check-in experience was fast on a Saturday afternoon.
Breakfast is at the restaurant is next to the lobby. It is not big so gets busy mornings. Food variety was adequate. Coffee is pre-brewed in personal-sized French presses sitting at the service counter so when poured it was lukewarm for me both servings.
Gym is compact, adequate and good. Pool is on average sized with tall buildings on either end so gets limited direct sunlight. Some reviews mentioned musky odours in corridors/room but I did not experience this.
Location can’t be beat with Little Japan 10-15 mins. walk north, the river 10-15 mins. walk east, Saigon Centre a 7-min. walk south and Vincom Centre 5-mins. walk west. But all the restos I pinned on Google Maps are a fair walk south past Ben Thanh Market.
Highly recommend Caravelle Saigon if looking for a 5-star hotel

This place is such a great hotel! Very nice and clean! I love the details in the room and the bathrooms are so cute! We had a great view of the pool! The staff is great and attentive when I called in for more towels and comforter. I love the little cafes and restaurants in the building. The seafood buffet was phenomenal!
